Living in a Subaru: Solo in the Mountains of BC and a Cookout | A typical day living out of my car
I hope this video brings you a sense of calmness. Spend the day with my dog and I as we wake up on a forest service road in British Columbia. A typical morning routine living out of my subaru outback, hiking for majority of the day, then cooking a yummy dinner.

It is odd how people are oblivious to this person hiking way up there without any regard to safety like its some type of cinematic reel.I guess entertainment these days is more important.

I like your videos because they present actual situations without theatrics; in other words I believe you genuinely present what you really experience without exaggerations . Keep up the good work !

Personally and this is especially in these unwashed peepee mornings. Instead of catch and cook how about a long sweaty day followed by this women being scratched and sniffed.
I like the longer videos, very relaxing to watch! I have two dogs and love to take them hiking with me too!

You have the most wonderful pup. My friend would love to do what you do, but he is missing his soul pup. Is there any chance you could share what breed he is?
I really like your positivity and your simplistic setup. Have fun!
The efficiency in which you manage everything is impressive. Incredible mountain views too!
Glad nothing was taken from your car and the battery didn’t die. I’ve done that a couple times with my Outback and the battery drained on me. Been living for these videos lately. Thanks for sharing your and Kyro’s adventures :)

I believe I saw in a previous video that she has a small emergency battery for jumping, which is a great insurance while being out in the middle of nowhere. I personally had dead batteries due to the lights not turning off as they should. In addition, if I go more than a week especially in winter without driving, which is frequent, I unplug the battery. I have no emergency stuff though but live in town.

Were you on your original factory battery? From the research I've done, the factory oem batteries are not great, even mine started leaking early. Look into Optima batteries, they can take a beating, more reliable in extreme conditions
I am genuinely jealous of how independent you are, and from the videos I've seen, you do it in a really smart way (i.e have all the equipment that you need and safety measures too) I would love to be this outdoorsy.
I love your content. The cooking is a really fun aspect as well. I really like feeling like we are just hanging out and getting to see all of the ins and outs of car camping life, and how you do it. It is inspiring to see another young woman, and being able to relate. I love your point of view. Canada is beautiful! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us to get out there!
Yeah some folks are mean in the comments, I hear ya! You’re a much bigger KZreadr than me, but still, my advice is ignore them, always the best way. Keep up the awesome adventures you two!
so precious with your pup! sitting together admiring those views is something you will never forget
Looks like a fantastic dinner, keep the vids coming loving the dog coming first theme through the vids
I just started living in my pickup truck (after an RV for 2 years) and I just can't find any other female nomads that are doing similar, except you. I love your videos! Especially that you have a fur friend. Happy trails and I look forward to more!

@@stephenflynn7600 I sold my RV to live with my then boyfriend in our truck and trailer. Long story very short, he turned out to not be the person he portrayed and I got swindled out of everything. Hence, living in my truck. It's all on my channel. (Pushing not pushing my channel, lol)

These are great and you are probably going to become KZread famous in like a year or two.
I agree with the other viewer that said they admire your strength and independence. It gives me motivation to want to travel on my own with my two dogs. Thank you so much ❤you help so many people
Thank you for your care & concern for your dog.
Here is a tip to keep you and your vehicle safe when your out hiking. Leave a sign on the dash that says ( hey guys meet me at the spot i told you about when you get here.)
Great video! I've had my Outback for several years now and really love it for soft-roading and camping. The off-road capability has gotten me through some surprisingly difficult situations. I'm a life-long Jeeper, but I needed a vehicle that was good daily driver and could still handle mild to moderate off-roading. Plus, Subaru has been a lot more reliable! I'd recommend a good set of all-terrain tires, which will have improved traction, durability and wet/snow performance. You can get them in the same size as your stock tires, so you don't need to get new wheels. A skid plate which protects the engine and transmission is also a good idea as the stock plate is only plastic. There's a Canadian company called LP Aventure which makes aluminum skid plates for your Subaru, as well as a lot of other cool stuff. Most auto shops could do the installation for you, if you're not so inclined. Also, you should be able to disable the pre-collision avoidance feature of your Outback. Mine is a 2018, but yours should be similar. If you check your Subaru Eyesight manual it shows how to disable this. Left of the steering wheel near the bottom of the dash is a cluster of 6-8 buttons. One button is marked "off" and shows a car about to hit another car. Press and hold this button for 2 secs, you'll hear a beep and and an indicator will show in your instrument console. This feature will remain off until you stop/restart the engine, or press the button again for 2 sec. Oh, and Foresty sent me!

Thank you so much. Writing this down :)
i used to do this minus the hiking and all the food, supplies.
Good bashplate for the underside of the vehicle and some scratch proof wrap for the side panels. I have both on my car for the amount of offroading I do in Australia, It has paid for itself!
Watching you make your food is fun too! And your food choices will keep you healthy! Good on you!
Would have loved to seen more of that mountain. So beautiful! Thanks for sharing your adventure 🦋🌻🐾

Just picked up on this site. Solid content👍 Nice to see a strong truly chill independent woman doing solo stuff(don’t worry, didn’t forget her dog). After years of running worked out jeeps and a 4Runner, I’m now a very happy owner of Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition. Solid choice for my now many miles driving for work and fun. Excellent on gas and quite honestly, very, very capable off road. Give one a look for your next Subu.
First time seeing your channel. Beautiful video of the mountains. Great dog and Outback owner too. Stay safe and have fun
Your so lucky to have that experience! Keep up the vids!

Madison, this is the first video I’ve watched of you. I really enjoyed it. Love your personality! And I do enjoy the cooking part. When I camp, I have a similar set up for cooking . I love cooking when I’m camping and salmon is my favorite dish. Thanks.
Jeepers you keep making me hungry. I just found your channel a few days ago and I am totally addicted and going through all of them. You are absolutely amazing!
I’ve just discovered you. What a beautiful young woman you are & an absolute inspiration & joy to watch your channel

A pan underneath to block the oil or whatever's under there...love it...the sliding surface in the back of the Subaru is genius

I love your cooking. I wish I could join you there!

Hi, I enjoyed this and loved the way you showed all the practicalities of what you need to do in a day. Definitely love the cooking! And seeing what equipment you have - excellent idea having a "pull out shelf" as a table.
You've got the car camping thing down - AAA+ 👍 using that table as a slide-out to create more deck space is brilliant!
Thank you for sharing, fun video of your day!

Great channel! Love the content.
I’m trying to remember the brand, I think it’s Aries off-road out of Israel. They make aluminum skid plates for the motor/trans and rear diff that you should definitely check out. When I had my forester I had all three plates and they saved that car a few times.
4:00 The background view is like a painting just wow what a beautiful scenery we got here.
I really liked the time lapse part - was nice seeing the uninterrupted beauty of the mountains! Also that food looked lovely 😊
Love that you have a plan B.

Such a fun video to watch! Those views were beautiful 😍
I realy love watching you.. Its amazing.. You are simple and so real..😊😊 ❤❤
I would like to see more of the views and plants along your hikes. Great content. What initially caught my attention is living in a Subaru. I have seen a few people living in a van but a car seemed like a whole different level.
BC is so beautiful. Awesome video. Go subaru crew!
You are sooooo Cute. You have an amazing energy. I follow many hikers and campers, that half of time they just complain. I really like how you show things can be so doable and simple if you just want it them to be.
I used to do stuff like this when I lived in the mountains. Boy, do I miss the mountains.
Good luck with good work 💯
I really enjoy your video's very much. I am 74 and have been taking my grandgirls camping, hiking and water sports. Watching you camp is very inspiring to say the least. You are quite the camp chef! Stay well, stay ßfe.
