@Lala Youn What made you think that Lala? Because that’s not true. Rafa beat Nole in the 2010 & 2013 U.S Open Final which is on a hardcourt. The only slam Rafa hasn’t beaten Nole at is the AO, Nole’s golden house.

By his antics on court, Nadal almost has deftly crafted this myth that he can be defeated only when he is out of form or injured. Novak beating Rafa both the times is not being given due credit and you are condescending it. If you are unfit, you should withdraw before the match. Just playing the whole match by sprinting on court like a Cheetah 🐆 and then after the match sow an impression that one is unfit. Even Nadal didn't claim after the match that he was unfit both in 2015 and 2021, it is merely a media and fan based story to invent a myth that Nadal is unbeatable on clay. He has only been defeated three times there in his whole career and Novak was his vanquisher twice and then Soderling. You must be out of your mind and patently crazy to compare Chung and Istomin with Novak. Yes, Nadal has beaten Novak twice at US Open, but does that alone make him a better player than the latter, when the H2H in hard court stands at a heavily lopsided 20-7 in Novak's favour. Most of the victories of Rafa on hard courts have been only prior to 2011. After that, he has hardly won except for US open. And the fact is also that Rafa is not consistent on other courts outside of clay like Novak and Roger has been and that explains his skewed record. His Wimbledon runs have been pathetic defeated by decreipt players many times in the 1st and 2nd rounds. In last Wimbledon, he shamessly chickened away without meeting Novak by withdrawing from semi-finals claiming he cannot two matches on a row. If only Rafa had been even half as consistent as Novak in other courts as in Clay, his h2h record would have been much worse. True, Novak's record on clay is not as incredible as it is on other courts, but still it is very impressive on clay winning Roland Garros twice and masters series tournaments like Madrid, Rome and Monte Carlo many times in his career beating Rafa in many of them. His H2H against Rafa stands at 19-8, albeit not impressive, but still decent given Rafa's domineering authority on clay courts. No player has won on all surfaces across the board evenly. What is the record of Laver, Roger and Sampras on clay courts?? It would be much worse than Novak. Nadal is not consistent on hard courts and grass like Novak is on clay. Period. So how does it make Nadal the GOAT?? Novak is heralded as the GOAT only because of his overwhelming accomplishments and supremacy on all courts. He has been World no. 1 for a record 373 weeks, won the incredible feat of Golden masters twice, non-calendar grand slam twice, won the world tour finals six times against zero of Nadal, won the most masters series titles at 39 and holds many such exceptional records. In contrast, Nadal doesn't have many and most of his match wins have come only on clay courts in a very lopsided 70:30 proportion although majority of the tournaments in the world are okayed on hard courts. So just smell the coffee and accept the incontrovertible fact that Novak is the GOAT because his career is alive and kicking and he is primed to demolish more records in the coming years starting from Australian open next year. LoL !!

The fact Nadal doesn't even lead in the h2h whereas more than half of their confrontation are on clay say a lot. 2/3 of tournaments are on different hards and Grass, yet they met more on clay because Nadal consistently loose before meeting Djokovic on hard and grass.

Nadal's 2009 Australian Open Semifinal and Final were outstanding.

Apparently Novak in this game is on a different level than other human beings.

One thing people should realize is how COLD Nadal has always been when losing, especially against Djokovic, whereas, Nole has always been a gentleman with nice hug and words.

These commentators really love to tell their viewers who the crowd are rooting for. Djokovic is loved but you’d never tell listening to them. They brainwash you into thinking Novak isn't liked when really it's them who don't like Novak.

Respectfully disagree over grass court dominance - I'd say that was Wimbledon 2006 final where Federer bested Nadal.

Djokovic played on a very high level (as usual) whereas Nadal was bloodless, unconvincing, he wasn't even competitive, he can play much better on hardcourts but this time he was not a threat to dominant Djokovic who deservedly won the match. I even dare to say that this wasn't the best Djokovic's match at this tournament.

Nadal fans are always finding some excuses. In this match, Djokovic had only 9 unforced errors. That is literally the record. Only 9 unforced errors in a gs final. The best thing is that nadal didnt lose a single set in the tournament, until he meet nole who beat him in straight sets. Nadal even bagels Tsitsipas in set 3 of their semifinal match. Nadal was the favorite going to this Championship match because of his performance in the eliminations. But here in the finals, he seems helpless and not making any dent in the game of Djokovic. He was outclassed. Djoko wins their match with ease.

@@prafulyadav661 Well if we are being honest, Novak destroys Rafa on hardcourts more than what Rafa does to Novak on clay. Novak would always take a set of Rafa most of the time out of all there matches on clay, but Rafa hasn’t taken a set of Novak in 10 years, so yeah, it’s not balanced, Novak owns Rafa on everything but clay.

Nadal didn't even play that badly after the first few games (he did then), that's the scary thing.
