For me, Djokovic will always be the GOAT even if he doesn't end up with the most slams. He faced so much adversity; with crowd and media almost always against him, his elbow injury in 2017/18, Wimbledon 2020 being cancelled, his disqualification at the US and of course the Australian deportation. To overcome all that, keep playing tennis there's only one word to describe him. GOAT 🐐

  • @Ilegator

He is gonna end up with the most slams... He has 3 chances a year to win a GS in his best surfaces while Nadal only has 1. Plus he is one year younger and has no major injuries. He never gets injured either. He will end up with more than 28 or even 30. His only competitors are Nadal or Medvedev in a great day.

My biggest disappointment about all of this is Rafael Nadal. I don't respect him any more... Not at all. If Nadal was really a warrior (as the media tries to portray), he should have been the first to say that he is against Novak's deportation because he don't want to win the Slam by having his greatest rival defeated by politicians. He should have been the first to say: "Let us decide who's the GOAT on the court because you'll never see similar rivalry again after us". But coward of course sided with the establishment. Just like he did (together with Federer) when Novak tried to provide more money for lower ranked players. Not to mention how Nadal and Federer insisted that points be deducted from Wimbledon, which in no way damaged either them (because they did not play at Wimbledon last year) or the tournament (because the tournament makes the same amount of money with or without ATP points), but it damaged the other players the most. Especially the player who was 2021 champion. Did I say that Novak was the first to express the view that the disqualification of Russian players was a shameful act and that Nadal supported Novak weeks later, but only when the coward finally realized that what Novak said was popular opinion? So when it comes to Rafa after all of this... Great player, huge coward and horrible person.

@@hello-mv6yg You're right. It just says that the coward is saying what others want to hear. That's why I said he is a "huge coward". But when I said Nadal is a horrible person, I wasn't referring to his statements, but to using the player council to damage the players and his biggest rival (even though Nadal has an obligation as a member of the player council to protect interests from the players). Only when we understand how the Wimbledon points deduction affects the GOAT race, it becomes clear what is Nadal's motivation for insisting on a decision that hurts his peers. Only horrible person can do something so malicious.

As a society, we need to be regulated, we just can't expect total freedom when there are people hurting others mercilessly. I do admire Djokovic for the great tennis players that he is and for a man that stands by his principles, I just despise the downplaying of Nadal's 2022 AO win just because Djokovic didn't play. 2022 AO is one of Nadal's most important slam victories.

@@jackdoe4632 ''Hollow victory''? Nadal won the 7 matches he had to win to lift the trophy. Tennis Australia granted the medical exemptions to Djokovic and more players, so if anything, Tennis Australia acted accordingly to what you stand for. ''Backstab his greatest opponent''? He didn't backstab anyone he just said that rules are rules and that he felt sorry for Novak. And hey, many many great players competed in AO '22, tennis goes beyond the serb. Nadal's victory was well-earned and deserved. And no, I don't support tyranny, but rather democracy and I'll never support an anarchy in which anyone can do whatever they feel like doing even if that implies hurting others (Imagine having serial killers walking free knowing that they can kill you and facing no consequences just because ''they are free''). I don't like the treatment Novak received, he's no serial killer, but I despise people putting asterisks to Nadal's AO 2022 or saying it is tainted like it's some kind of football match won by referee decisions. Should we state Djokovic's Wimbledon 2022 triumph is ''hollow'' as well? Remember Russians and Belarussians were also banned

What a video. The first thing I am impressed with is how fast you are able to edit those movies. Do you even know what sleep is? 😂 Well done again my friend. All the flashbacks are amazing and you put them where they make sense as well. I noticed you tried to let the images speak for themselves and not put too much focus on the soundtrack, as you chose rather quiet tracks and put them in the background (correct me if I'm wrong). I also liked the inspirational quote at the ending and the clips you put over it. You had some great ideas for this project and almost made me like him a bit. Almost 😜. I really hope it does well - you deserve it!

Haha this time I was able to sleep a bit, but I sacrified my Saturday 😅 Thanks for the kind words, and yes when I find the background musics with the ambiance that I search it's ok for me if it doesn't take much place. For Novak it's a bit more easy to find a storyline with all the controversies ! One day you will see that he's not a devil haha 😉

What a video! This goes way beyond a tribute for a single tournament... the way you balanced all these competing narratives (old vs. young, bodily autonomy, rivalry with Nadal/Federer) speaks to the essence of Novak Djokovic's career-overcoming adversity. And what better way to capture this spirit in words than with Roosevelt's "The Man in the Arena." Fantastic job!

My man you have a lot to work with, with this last Slam tournament haha. I already can picture in my head the sinner alcaraz rallies and the other five setters played and then comparisons to his miracle tourney here to Rafa at the start of the year lol and then that third set against Ruud being REALLY drama before he pulls thru like he is in real trouble before he wins it haha; in all seriousness man if u make the vid, like that or not, I'm really looking forward to the film and video whatever u do you always kill it! And what a crazy tourney that was from Alcaraz, what a story and his story isn't done yet! His story will be enough for 100 movies in the end. Hoping for one from you!

Last time Nadal beat Djokovic on hard court was in 2013 or so. Djokovic has been very successful on clay, that’s why lately he has been able to face him on the ends stages of clay tournaments. As opposed to Nadal who has been successful on hard, but not as successful as Djokovic on clay court recently.
