Nole the reached all 4 grand slam finals this year and won 3. This is the 4th time he's won 3 grand slams in a calendar year (2011, 2015, 2021, 2023) This is the 3rd time he's reached all 4 grand slam finals in the same calendar year! (2015, 2021, 2023) Djokovic is nearly guaranteed to reach 400 weeks as #1 ranked player. He now has 69 big titles (24 Grand Slams / 39 Masters / 6 ATP Finals titles)

Same, I would have traded this 2021 USO title for this one, just so Nole could have accomplished the Calendar Year Slam. I hope Meddy keeps grinding because he can still win a couple more Slams. Of course, as long as Nole gets to the final, I'll root for Nole, but if not, I'll root for guys like Meddy or Sasha. They are great and their Slam tally is long overdue.

I also would've been happy for Medwedew as the underdog of these two players to win (he won in 2021, yet not many would've expected him to beat Djoko), but he can be so proud to have given the grand master such a very hard time! 👏🏼 Plus, he is young enough and fit enough to win trophies in the seasons to come. As for Đoković, the only more remarkable feature than his incredible physical and mental endurance is his humble attitude. 🏆 You can only salute this man, along with his trainer and his family, for what they have accomplished, let alone after his defeat at Wimbledon only seven weeks ago. FYI: Is Djoko friends with Matthew McConaughey?! 😮
