NICK KYRGIOS vs NOVAK DJOKOVIC | Men's Tennis Stars FULL CONVERSATION from the Australian Open

In this latest episode of GOOD TROUBLE with Nick Kyrgios, Nick sits down with the one and only, Novak Djokovic. The two discuss their history and how in 2021, the two were able to bury the hatchet. Novak shares how his tennis journey began in Serbia during a war torn time in the country's history. The 24x Grand Slam champion provided insights into how he stays motivated given all his success in the sport while also revealing the hurdles he faces. Towards the end of the conversation, Nick had to ask Novak about the GOAT conversation in tennis. His answer was nothing but class. A truly one of one conversation. This podcast was recorded live in January of 2024 at Rod Laver Arena.

I wouldn’t say any player is more ‘real’ than the other. Novak definitely has more controversial opinions and is more outspoken which attracts a passionate audience. See thats interesting because i do agree with you about Novak but I wouldn’t immediately credit him to being more real then Rafa or Roger because it’s just a matter of character. I highly respect Rafa and Roger for not involving politics, controversy and opinionated topics into the sport of tennis, whilst also praising Novak highly for acknowledging what he thinks is right! Neither Novak, Rafa or Roger fake their character and identity and that should be praised across the board: 3 legends of the game, all just as real as you can hope for of figureheads of the game of tennis!

It would be nice of Novak if he would pay some taxes. All the rest of the Big Four pay taxes in their home countries. This money is nice, and it is a nice thing to do, in that it can be used to fund essential services in your home country. And all this foundation BS that Novak & Nick speak about, is just a front to cover for their greed in not want to pay a proper tax rate, like the rest of us pay. Novak's foundation is not his own money, it is donations made be other people, from the foundation website, one of the previous years the biggest fundraiser was an Italian guy who cycled form Italy to Belgrade. Be nice, pay some tax back. Like the rest of us pay taxes.

That was a lovely bromance, hopefully every tennis player who makes the long journey to our remote continent will end up likewise in a happy place.

Everyone knows it, but many don't want to admit it, especially the triggered Novak fans - Fedal, and for me Federer, is and always will be. Even though Djokovic may have won all the records etc. (I'll leave out the fact or the part with the different counting method umpteen years ago), there's more to it - and that's all Federer has, then Nadal (or almost, if not immediately) and only then comes Novak, yes.
