Don't know if its related to your dogs knee issues but my toller/chow mix blew out both his knees when he was two and had to have tplo surgerys. Hes also the same way with people, if you ignore him he'll love on you if you come to him he's a lil sketchy.

“…wait for her to come to you. Too much attention and she darts back.” So…she’s like a cat, then. Cats tend to want interaction on their terms and often find people who rush right up to them and start fawning over them as “rude” and avoid them as a result.

Hahaha, she is like a cat! Tollers are cat-versions of golden retrievers.

@@GrowingUpQweens Honestly, that’s part of what’s been drawing me to them so much. I grew up with only cats and I’m still fairly new to dogs, and the tollers I’ve met weren’t as clingy and overwhelming as the labs and Goldens I met.
