Nothing That Has Happened So Far...(Live) | Tame Impala Guitar Cover
What’s up everyone, I’m finally back with another cover. This time I’ve decided to do a live version instead of a studio one, simply because KP’s live guitar part is a bit more interesting for this song.
What’s interesting about this song is how he’s played it through the years, the chords have varied slightly from the original Lonerism tour in 2013, to the Currents tour in 2015, and now The Slow Rush tour in 2022. Sometimes he’ll play chords low on the neck, or higher on the neck, and sometimes he’ll throw in new chords entirely. Personally, I think those higher chords sound closer to what he plays on the studio version too but I’m not 100% sure.
For my cover, I decided to take the most inspiration from the latest iteration of ‘Nothing That Has Happened…’ from the Slow Rush Tour / Lonerism Anniversary Show. I love how crunchy Kevin’s guitar tone is in this era so that’s what I wanted to replicate.
As for the solo, I took little bits of phrases from different live versions to make a solo with all my favorite parts. Hope you enjoy it!

Incredible as usual. Desert Daze audio?
sounds great, nice work with technique and tone!!! With the chords in the first and last section, did you decide in advance which chords would be slower-down-strum, hard-down-strum, and up-strum? Is there a pattern, did you take that pattern from the live performances, or are you changing at will?
Great! what do you use to get that tone? 🔥
Hi, how are you? Is the effect a chorus or a flanger?
