Good job with the review! You've really put in a lot of effort to highlight the differences between the 2 phones.

Your review on photography are the best. Most reviewers just take daytime photos and compare it to premium phones saying that theres not much of a differenece. Low light photos are what separates the low end and high end

I love the design, Nothing OS 2.0 and the battery since that's one of the reasons that kept me away from Pixel 7, hope they fix that in 8. But the photos on NP 2 are a bit disappointing plus the price increase for Europe does not help. If i was able to turn off the excessive contrast I would consider it and maybe some updates might fix it, but for now i'll wait.

Well even iphones sweat before pixels when it comes to photography and software finesse. What NP 2 got me excited for is its fresh approach. It has not fallen prey to the rat race of latest hardware stuffed slabs. Its approach to software design is the most i am looking forward to.

However, i love the photos of the nothing 2... They are not what the actual scenario is but they are what we want the scenario to look like.

2022 was the year of IMX766, 2023 is the year of IMX890 😊 Still JN1, GN series I consistently used for different purpose throughout every price range 🎉

*Pixel 7a stomps Np2 as expected.* Btw, even in low-light, the Pixel 7a was ahead as NP2 clearly has black crush issues. You can use dual exposure slider on Pixel 7a if you like contrasty shots. The colours and HDR on NP2 is kinda off. The videos and UW-lens are particularly poor on NP2. The HDR in NP2's videos is non-existent, lol. *Selfies are good on NP2 as they're quite beautified.* Cheers 🥂

But the Nothing phone actually produces night shots that are more realistic, what the human eye might see. I own a pixel and when I do take night photos they look a bit fake . I actually want it's night shots to look like night time. I actually find pixels HDR/ dynamic range too aggressive too, even when taking daylight photos.

@@marksouthwell4490 I guess you can't read properly. I said you can use a dual exposure slider on Pixel if you want that black sky. The problem with NP2 is the black crush issue. And idk why you prefer NP2's blown-out skies in daytime, lol.

@@xdadev haha, I did understand as I own a pixel 😊 I do find the exposure dial ( exposure compensation dial ) a bit unreliable. Some kind of exposure lock would be more beneficial.

I own both and there is not even comparison. Pixel is clear winner only in case of camera performance

Image at 4:29, just look at the streets, how well the house's light reflection is visible on pixel while nothing completely removed it.

Considering the Nothing is a relatively new company I think it's coped remarkably well ! I actually prefer around 60 % of the Nothings photos. Video appears a bit jittery though but I'm sure that will improve after a few updates

The video jittering is just a codec issue in the editor's video editor, the videos aren't choppy at all. I'm a nothing phone 2 user so I know.

Lovely review. I have a question, If i want a 512GB android with dedicated SD card also, dual sim plus fast charging. Not much concerned about camera or gaming but waterproofing would b nice. Can u suggest a few options.?

@@cyrusshira2464 I charge 94% till 8 AM in the morning and by 7 PM in the evening at home the battery is around 50%. Charging takes almost an hour. I spent the whole day at my studio on social networking, file uploading, downloading, mails, KZread, music, and sometimes music is also being made on the phone itself. I don't do gaming. Accordingly, battery life is good for me. Screen on time is around 7 to 8 hours. In fact I'm happy with my device. 🌟☮️

@@dmn177 It used to get a bit hot while charging because this summer season would have been very hot. At other times, there is not so much heat that there is any problem. I haven't had such a network issue so far. But maybe if you go to an underground place, the network will be less visible but there will be no problem in calling & data. I did not like the sound quality of Pixel, there is a lack of depth in the music but it is quite loud.

7a Video quality's look more Refined

Conclusion is : Nothing phone 2 has sony sensor which gives good camera photos with better color profile and if a phone has SONY sensor then you will definately get Sharper photos Nothing phone 2 has better selfies as well as better dynamic Range. :) Google phone provide natural colorful photos which i think not looks attractive and punchier. Google can take better low light photos.

Nothing phone 1 and nothing phone 2 looks identical I think nothing phone is highly inspired from an iPhone same design every year the only differences is high price 😅

@@JessePinkman-uf9zh battery life pixel is better, design is subjective and yet the 7a looks gorgeous and better then nothing phone 2 which is exactly similar to phone 1, many youtubers have themselves clarified that network in pixels are great. Atleast research or use the phone before crying. My college roommate has a nothing phone 2 and only thing I find better in that phone phone is the charging speed.

@@shubhamupadhyay844 My roommate has Pixel 7a and the battery does out with 5.5-6h SoT. Overheating is a major issue and it looks exactly like Pixel 6a. Many actual users have issues with complaints regarding call drop and poor connectivity in the phone which are yet to be resolved. My roommate also faces call drops. Atleast do some research before making a mockery of yourself in public.

I'm impressed by N phone 2. In low light and Selfies, phone 2 is a clear winner. In main n uktrawide, pixel is better. But phone 2 is also not bad. Just look at the pics, they are little more processed with that extra contrast - which actually looks nice in some photos. They need to tune contrast bit more in Portrait shots though. So definitely, phone 2 is promising if they bring down their price a bit . To around 40K.
