An amazing song. Very reliable, and sad

The line that makes me cry is "We've been half alive for way too long." That's such a dead-on assessment of a relationship that's at its end, and the realization that both parties need to end it and move on, no matter how painful it may be. I've never been in a relationship, but it's hard for me not to feel the pain and regret in Johnny's voice when he sings that. What a song.

it's been five years this Christmas since she left in the middle of the night and I became a single father. I never thought when I first heard this song that I would be subjected to it's meaning less than a year later.

"They said we'd never last, they were right" ahhh, my heart💔

The song is so beautiful it's that sweet sorrow that makes you have flashbacks of both the good and bad situations but you choose to look at the good. It's actually inspiring to me and makes me want to cry at the same time lol. I love it.

This band need more than they get

Gosh, there's something about this song that strikes a chord with me. From the beautiful instrumentals, to the beautiful lyrics, it all blends so perfectly. "We keep circling, it never ends. We keep breaking down, but never bend. Oh we've been half alive, we've been half alive for way too long." This line among many others in this song makes me just want to cry. Such beauty and talent, I can't stop listening. Thank you, Nothing More, for making amazing music, even as it gets harder and harder to find.

I love the strings on this song. I love it even more now that I found out that Ryan Delahoussaye of Blue October did the Stings with the exception of the cello. This song made me cry the first time I heard it.

I don't listen to this kinda music but dam....did this song hit a nerve. I cry every time I hear it. It was exactly my relationship in one song.

Do NOT tell me hard rock singers don't have range. This song is absolutely beautiful.

Makes me think about my ex and I... We kept trying to be with each other despite major differences in personality. Towards the end, we just stopped trying, simultaneously it seems. "I got that sinking, sinking same feeling." And it's like we've made it this far so why stop now? This time we'll try harder for each other. "Have you had enough or do we try again?" "Are we looking at forever? Because I don't see it in your eyes" it's like he knows something is wrong, since he doesn't see forever in her eyes. Either because she thinks it or he didn't see it in her, or both. Breakups are difficult regardless if it's an abusive relationship, they cheated on you or if it was a genuinely good relationship. It is what is right though. You can't force a relationship. You can only try over and over again until one or both of you tires out. And then it's over, no matter how badly you wanted to be with that person, you shouldn't be together. Maybe you really want to love them but you don't. Makes me think that maybe she'll show up in my life later on down the road and we will have matured more by then. Or maybe not. Maybe it will always be the same.

why are some people already hating on the album? it may be even better than the last one in my opinion. give it time guys let it sink in and even if you don't like it keep that to yourself and let others enjoy it

Its incredibly rare that a band actually makes me feel emotion at all these days. Music has all been watered down so much that it really means nothing.. HOWEVER Nothing more has really taken the cake. They are the only band in a really really long time that I have been able to genuinely relate to every song. Incredible. What an amazing group of musicians. The talent here is immeasurable. Thanks for making me feel things Nothing More.

This song live is so magical. I've never been to a show before where literally everybody young and old, big and small sang so hard to a band on stage.

Just lost the woman I loved more than anything not even an hour ago and this song hits too close to home, every lyric describes our situation perfectly. I've never felt so fucking lost and alone, to the point where here I am posting a comment on a fucking KZread video talking about it because I have no one to go to. She gave me a reason to wake up everyday and I wanted to be a better person for her, started making so many improvements in my life if not for me then I was doing it for her. Then everything I started to build came crashing down just as fast as it was built, now I feel like it's all pointless and that nothing matters. I find myself not caring anymore and feeling numb. I love this band. I found this song while I was listening to a recommended playlist in the shower. I had to jump out of the shower when I heard it. I didn’t expect something like this from nothing more, but it just shows the variety of the bands talent. This song hits deep, just like all of their other songs. I am in a very happy relationship, and I still relate to this on a very deep level. This applies to friendship.

I think these guys could go forever. Not super impressed with either album really. But they each have some of my favorite songs.

Everytime I hear this song, but everytime, my first and only friend comes to mind. We've fought and reunited and fought again for various reasons... We were mostly frienemies rather than best friends. But if it wasn't for that man, I would probably be messed with drugs, I would've destroyed my whole life. Hell I might even had killed myself if he wasn't there when the time was right. I was depressed and I couldn't bring myself to socialize. Then he saw me there sitting alone and out of pity alone he came and no matter how hard i pushed him away he kept TRYING. He just wouldn't give he HAD to make me happy. As I was rejecting all the love and friendliness I was receiving I slow started appreciating it. We were best friends. Two year have passed since those moments, when I still had a friend... As I started becoming better, he was suffering. The time he spent with me hurt him. He saw that and we parted. We are now strangers. We say words but we don't speak anymore. I must admit, I miss him. But he's better without me, he is happy. So... Goodbye, my first and only friend...
