I switched to nothing1 from iphone12 (i had already decided to go android mainly because of the price) and i was quite surprised by how well everything is running and just the feel of the phone it's just that good. Also fck the apple ecosystem lol i 'm free!

Love how Carl is extremely transparent, and is also accepting of the limitations smaller companies have. With the limited (Compared to Apple) resources Nothing has, they have still managed to come up with an amazing product which enthusiasts will admire!

Own lots of phones but as a brand and unique products I love Nothing. I use iPhone 15 Pro Max but I bought the Nothing phone 1 on launch to support the brand (especially as based in the UK) and love everything about the brand and Carl from someone who even owned a oneplus x ceramic edition when has was driving the company 😊 Both Nothing phones are great alternatives to iPhone.

13 Pro 256 Gb and Nothing Phone (1) 128 Gb for me. Nothing OS 2.0 since September on my NP1 is so great. No issues at all on this phone. A lot of updates since December when i bought it.👍🏿 The only thing i don’t like is Shutter Lag. Burst mode exists but it’s not the same as my iPhone 🫤.

As an economic student, I learn that sustainable development is thing we all need to focus on. We can buy airconditioner, microwave, bicycle, washing machine and a nothing phone on Christmas sale in the price of apple iphone 15 pro 1tb storage, think wisely before choosing iphone.

Man I love this brand. Haven’t even owned any of their products (yet). So refreshing for a company to be this transparent. Hope y’all never lose sight of these core values and principles goin forward.

I miss owning an enthusiast phone. One that I can go as deep as I like, while being intuitive to do so. While customizability has shifted to visual and aesthetics, Nothing is making steps to bring more to hardware. I like to support you guys for that mission.

I have so much respect for Nothing as a company. Their philosophy and mindset is very unique. I can't wait to see how they grow over time.

9:01 I like this part of the conversation, I did not expect you to say such thing. In my view: 1- a built-in VPN for free would have been Good 2-the capability to connect your to a display via USB-C in case your screen went black or cracked. So users can use it to recover useful information without having to repair the device even with a security lock ( you have to type the password or draw the pattern using a mouse). 3- and some other useful features I can't remember.

I upgraded from 14 pro, to 14 pro max, literally for the big screen and impressive battery life. I agree with the ecosystem that Apple Employee have mentioned, it is just convenient. And it just works, but I love pixel and nothing aesthetic hahaha

Want Carl to actually review OnePlus cheapest phones in current market or phones whose price is near to Nothing 1.

I love Nothing as a brand, especially their designs. Modern, sleek and just good looking. Even their widgets and icons are really cool. BUT I love the Apple products more. The 15 Pro Max rocks. So does every other product from Apple and I have my workflows that make it easy to switch between iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro. Stay at it Nothing. You're starting to make a difference and maybe in some years me and other Apple users might switch to Nothing products.

In their words i mean carl pei the ceo said on nothing event the truth that if you want your all devices to work seamlessly as you want your only choice is apple that means consumers don't have a choice and that's not right that's why there is nothing

The action button makes sense and I think it's the sweet spot between complexity and convenience Carl talks about. A single button with a custon single and double press actions is heavenly. I miss the Bixby button last seen on the Galaxy S10 series even though there was only one customizable action available. A single custom button doesn't take away from the minimalistic design or add to complexity. My own two cents after switching pre-owned devices like socks.

This video didnt lure me to get their phone at all or for me to look for something aside from apple. If anything, this CEO gained my respect cus of the honesty and his vision for his company to get better and improve their products cus of Apple. I wish him all the best!

The apple employee, assuming this is legit, didn’t say anything apple doesn’t already know. All tech companies know that the fanatics are going to always upgrade and then the people 2-4 years behind will also upgrade as well.

Doesn't make sense of comparing iphone with np2 . If you want to compare,do it in all aspects. Camera,video, software experience every thing. Also np2 has a average cam,video with respect to its price. I am using Phone1 and the built quality has issues dust particles are entering the cam glass also the back pannel . Cam is avg so a big no to nothing product from my side.

3:48 I would imagine apple isn’t wasting what cuts trimmed/cut away. Again just speculating but I would like to think they have something that collects what’s trimmed away to somehow meld under crazy heat or something to use for making more glass for other stuff.

My suggestion to Nothing would be that the Phone 2 already has its distinct design language. Work on the software side. Now when there's phones giving 4 5 years of os upgrades, maybe try that. And keep the security updates a little bit longer. Even if the OS upgrades are 3 years, keep security updates for 5 years. And I think Nothing Phone 7 would be the best in its lineup 5 years from now when it comes out. And no one would be more stoked than me to get that phone. And also Keep the lights 🎉

Just made the purchase for the 256GB in grey, arrives in 10 days as was on back order with my network, can't wait been wanting a phone like this for a long time

I have switched from an iphone 12 pro to nothing phone 2, and so far i´m happy because i feel that i´m contributing to a new company be bigger and strong, so far i have enjoyed the experience, but i have a few things that i hope that was different, since the Apple ecosystem is so good, it was little bit bad, the experience to import all my data to nothing OS especially the contacts, the 2nd thing it was very wierd, using google dialer, gallery, sms, calculator etc, nothing OS has such a unique style and that ruins all the user experience, i had to pay for a could service to google, and if i had to choose, i prefer that the money went to nothing instead. Hoping that in the next update we finally have those apps build in stock.

That's just absolutely not true. Phones are getting bigger, the SD card is not being replaced with anything in that space. The headphone jack isn't being utilized. There's plenty of room for both. There are literally headphone jacks in phones that were an inch and a half big. The idea that was just rule them out... As if it's a law of physics that they can't come back is beyond silly. If removable batteries can come back, so can the headphone jack and the SD card. In fact they're still common features on the vast majority of budget phones with which account for the vast majority of the world's Android phones. Unbelievable how customers are buying into this corporate apologia

I mean it's not an old feature if it's a current feature.... It's only "old" ... Because they removed it in the first place. If they removed the front facing camera.... Would that make it all technology? The fact is it would be innovative because you could bring lossless audio with no latency to a phone... Which is almost impossible to get on a flagship smartphone these days.

I still have the old iOS 6 icons in my iPhone screen and I love them! Before that, I'd been using Samsung's OneUI icons which feel kinda indispensable to me.

The simple marketing message is this Nothing wants to become Apple of android. So they are always comparing with apple products only. Why no comparison with Samsung phones or pixel phones.

I am actually very surprised b the great balance between honesty, actual review of the phone, and shoutout to your own product. Very nice, very fair when it comes to competition, and just nice to watch. As a fan of apple design, I must say your new Nothing Phone looks very clean. Not a fan of the lights tho, but that's still quite classy and discreet. Just a matter of taste. As a marketer I think you really get what people want to see now when it comes to communication.

Started my smartphone life with iphone3gs then upgraded to 5 then to 11pro. Using 11 pro since mid of 2019. Still going strong. Not thinking about upgrade yet.

Introduce a camera shutter button like some of Nokia phones used to have it with two click for focus lock and capturing

I'd say the best thing about iPhone is you can use the phone for years and still get software + hardware support which android lacks

Camera needs very long research and trial and error method to actually be fruitful. Speakers were fine common they weren't that bad pretty average.

Maybe a budget smartphone (like under $500) would be good to think about as most major phone brands have moved on from producing them (exception iPhone SE), and there are still plenty of people looking for them. Pixel 3a/4a/5a/5 were so good in terms of performance/price/efficiency and the Pixels after that were just not it. Nothing Phone (2) still using Snapdragon is the most underrated part of the phone.

Well, I think that Carl should take more seriously where his new brand should focus, I think that they should take the Android system to another level more similar to how WebOS was, try to use Ai like Google is doing with the gcam, do the dimensions of the phone smaller in one version and a larger one in another version. Also focusing on the keyboard, these aspects are what make an iPhone an enviable phone. Enable all bands as the iPhone has. I think that would be where the focus should be.

I love how genuinely proud he is that his Nothing Phone is winning.

What people don’t realise about lightning ears, there are security features built into the chip on the lightning cable. Now those security features not sure if they are the same.

I would say it was great when Carl tried to connect himself with users, but now I feel weird. It's a freaking cheap move from Nothing. Users may won't feel special for owning a Nothing phone.

Talking about buttons on phones, I really wish they had music playback buttons (forward, pause, backward). I have touchscreen mp3 player with those buttons and it's easy to find those buttons and skip song or part of it without lthrowing an eye on it.

I love the way the founder of a brand have direct contact with users. Keep it up, man.

Not sure if something like that ready exists out there but I would love a phone to have like 2 action buttons on each side and you could map them to anything you want and it would also be ambidextrous friendly

i like nothing phone but out of every phone brand, iphone just stands out with their camera like years ahead of any competition.

I think if you have a company making a phone that people call great overall but the older phones 2-3 years before are still so good that it’s not even a thing to wait a little more. It’s a good thing.

Your products remind me of the transparent Gameboy classic. Can you make also other products in your design language, like bluetoothspeakers, powerbank or 80s style flipclock? A nice feature for the flipclock would be, if it has an alarm option with your led-stripes and inductive charging.

Hello I have nothing ear 2 and i am facing one issue with that with full earbuds charge i am getting only around 2 or 2.5 hours battery backup (buds only) as per official specification it should run for 6 hours i have purchased it at launch time my concern is that should i have to go to service center or not.

The lihgtning Port was meant keep people in their Echosystem however for me It was the barrier to entry that stopped me from switching to iPhone

Currently have an iPhone and I would love to switch to the Nothing phone. Main drawback for me is it's too big for my preference. If Nothing made a smaller model, maybe something close to the 15/15 Pro size, I'd buy it for sure.

Compact phones were the gem back then.. Iphone 5s design is just pure gold. Other companies needs to bring back that size and quality.

Nothing making headphones was a smart choice. One of the main reasons I like my iPhone is because of my AirPods. If nothing can figure out how to copy a feature like Apples air drop that would probably be enough to get me to switch. Air drop and air pods are mainly why I use Apple.

iPhone user here. The biggest thing that keeps me on a iPhone is reliability and convenience. I never have had to hard reset my iPhone. Major bugs are fixed quickly. Any major issue I have with the phone, cracked screens, over heating battery’s etc, I just take my phone to the Apple Store and it’s fixed the same day. How many Android phones can you keep for 3-4 years and they still run all apps smoothly? Most of us can’t afford to upgrade every year. I need to know that my $800-$1000 phone is going to last years. Also. Ip68 is a must.

Since honesty is on the table, I have the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. And since the release of Phone (1), I am really invested to switch to Nothing. I upgraded from iPhone 8 Plus to 14 Pro because of the camera and the storage capacity, and sorry for not waited til the realase of Phone (2). However, I am really confident that the 14 Pro that I have is the last Apple product I will get. I will definitely switch to Nothing for an upgrade. So keep it coming, Nothing. I am rooting for you.

I have a 13 pro and the only reason I’m looking to upgrade is cos of my battery health. It’s dropping crazy, only had it for a year and it’s at 87/86, I’m scared the phone will go to crap and lose it’s value by the time 16 is here and that’s what I’ve planned on buying. Someone help me out, and last I checked the repair person said if I change the battery, it’ll show a warning message, which also affects the value of the device
