Dunno how much of a battle it would be. Most of the colors (and amongst some even the names lol) would be the same, but still a fun comparison in perhaps their feel and abilities.

Wow I’m listening/watching while working, and every time I glance down to check progress I am totally wowed by the colors. I am trying to find a balanced pastel colored set and so glad I found your channel. ❤ definitely want these indra!

Oh I'm so happy they have added numbers to them all. My old sets were such a pain without numbers.

I’m also on a pastel kick and I love pink, it’s my favorite color. I wanted to get the Holbeins but I couldn’t fit them in my budget this month but these I can definitely manage. I would get a few open stock Holbein and make sure you even like how they perform. They are a different style of pencil for sure.

This brand is likely to become the budget king soon. It's a nearshoring operation between China and Mexico, which means you get Chinese manufacture prices but also Mexican quality control filtering out most flukes.

I am going to get this set The way I am planning on using it is along with other non pastel only sets That have complete color ranges . The fact is that no matter which set of pencils you use there are seldom enough choices of the really light, soft pastel shades . Thanks for this great video.

I want these! I like the smaller set, and I agree that they are softer and creamier than the Astra Lowes. I like the slight variation in the colors.

Yeah I Just didn't have a great experience with Astra, but I know others find them super smooth so sometimes I wonder if I got a crappy batch? I dunno

These just arrived today. They're beautiful. The quality is what you'd expect from a low-cost item--so it's pretty much a case of "you get what you pay for." I do love the colors and totally love the square shape. So much nicer to use than a rounded pencil. I can see these as fill-ins when I need a color I don't have from another set. The overall experience in using them is so-so. They don't have the smooth, creamy feel of a high-grade pencil. Still, I'm happy with them and they were a pleasant surprise.

They are definitely a budget pencil, but one I think is worth it. I really enjoy them and the pastel colors against the black wood is just sooooo beautiful

This set does look the most useful and well curated to find gradients and play with light

Yes, I really liked how they had the bolder colors mixed in so that it could be a single set you grabbed for.

I too had to have the 72 set. I just received mine a couple of days ago. I had the 36 set and loved them. I watched your review on the 72 set and had to purchase them LOL. So thanks for forcing me to buy another set 😂 my husband appreciated it very much lmao. I totally blamed it all on you lol 😂 😂

Nice set, I put all my pastel sets into one big case. I’m finding that I don’t reach for it very much because it’s big and heavy. So I’m thinking this would be the perfect size set. I wish that there would be a few light browns included (I know, not a pastel color!) but I need browns to color trees😬.

Yeah I too have a big case, but now I need to upgrade to a bigger one to add these and those Kalours lol. I totally agree a few light browns should be mixed in, but I think these manufacturers are worried about the "look" on the palette even though we all want those pencils.

They could definitely tone down some browns and add them to these sets. I think they are just sticking to the "macaron" theme, which is more colorful, bright, bouncy

Lol. I am just like that. Can't get enough of Pastel colored pencils. Have a whole lot of them. I don't have 72 but have 36 Indra and do not have. Kalour or Bruntfuner. But I will get them. Love all Pastel colors

I think I could say I'm definitely addicted to the sets - even when I know the colors won't change haha

In some research that I did I found out that the macaron colors are not the same as a pastel color. You will get the pastel colors in that set but you will also get the light end of mid-range. Just an interesting tidbit that I found. Happy coloring!

Thank you for this recommendation I am a professional artist and I really wish that these were artist grade because they have such a wonderful feel on every page I've put them on although I have not tried them in a Kerby

I’m watching this video on 7 Sep 23 and have just checked on Amazon and they’ve got them but only 3 sets left. Might soon just be 2 as I think I’ve got to get them! Don’t need them but they are such a nice looking set. With budget sets (although at £62 not that budget) you can’t replace with open stock so the more you have the longer each set will last because you are not using them as much. I think that makes some kind of sense!

Well, to be honest, I really like the Castle Arts, BUT the price tag is not worth it. These lay down very smooth, and they are affordable.

Just got the morandi set today, and colored an Alphonse Mucha image. The color pallet was perfect for it. So I went looking for what others thought of them. Im loving the set even tho they dont layer too well. My luminance set is still my favorite.

What do you think of their primary colored pencils set?

Hi Kori......tried listening while working remotely at home, but may have missed something here or there. Does this set seem to include the first 36 they had put out some time back? I'm thinking it must - for it would mean there'd be 108 diff pastel colors between the both sets, which is not likely. Can you let me know please.....

To me, it does look like the colors from the first set are in there, yes.

Just wondering how do they compare with Black Widow pencils? There are a lot of pinks with those, lots of colours full stop. Before I run and buy these I would just like to know do you have Black Widows and are they comparable?

Yes, I have all of the BWs. So, you will have overlap in colors between this and the BWs if you have all of the BW sets. These are similar in hardness to the BWs as well to be honest. Although, they might be just a tiny bit softer.

Oooh! I was going to push the button on these until my price tracker app warned me that there was a sharp increase in the last 48 hours. (No doubt b/c of you.) I think that I'll wait and see if the come down.

They come in and out of stock. However, they did call them “limited edition” so they may not restock them. That said, I saw them there just the other week.

The indra definitely had more true pastels than the Astra pastelowe at least. Decent for budget.

Arguably, though... Even the Holbein fifty set has a few that would make good midtones. Judging by swatches, anyway. I'm too poor for things like Holbein, Luminance, Lightfast. Lol
