I didnt think i would have to type this, but can you guys chill with the comments about me not liking Hells Greatest Dad? I have already had a person be rude about it. People are going to have different opinions. Its just a song guys, chill. Its not that serious.

@@elizabethescalante8114 I imagine he isn’t hostile towards Charlie for a few reasons: - She doesn’t flex her power, and is actually very reluctant to use it, generally - In the pilot, Charlie recognized Alastor when he arrived at the door, acknowledged how powerful he is, and treated him with an appropriate level of fear and trepidation, despite being much more powerful than him. - Charlie sees Alastor as an authority figure of sorts. So, she gives him power and respect, despite her status being higher than his. - Charlie is somewhat naive and impressionable, and Alastor sees her as a useful ally and tool to mold to his purposes, and acting antagonistic towards her won’t help him achieve his goals. None of that is true for Lucifer, in Alastor’s eyes, so he’s seen as a proper threat.

This is the first one heard about it being confirmed, which is really cool. I was seeing pretty clear signs of him being neurodivergent with things like his extreme social awkwardness and hyperfixation with the rubber duckies, but didn't really see anyone talking about it. And I think part of the reason I like him so much is because I can see a lot of myself in him. I also think it adds a bit of an extra layer to his backstory, possibly being part of the reason why he saw things differently from the other angels and had different ideas that they didn't understand or approve of.

Tbf as powerful as Alastor is, he's still a deer, a prey animal xD so i imagine it's those prey instincts that get him so on edge whenever an objectively more powerful being is in the same vicinity as him. Hell’s Greatest Dad is in my opinion the best song in the show. Tied with More Than Anything. I gotta disagree with your statement.

Hells greatest Dad was definitely a grower on me, cuz it felt all over the place at the first listen, but after a bit it grew on me and it’s one of my faves 💀💀

Luci is literally everything to me, after this episode and ep 8 he has skyrocketed to my top 3

It's just differing tastes. I personally love that we got an electroswing musical dad duel, but I can def see why it's not for everyone. Also, Mimzy kind of ruins thing by hijacking the end of the song. Just another reason not to like her.

It was so heartwarming to see Lucifer and Charlie repair their relationship, especially since it gave us the best song in the series. And speaking of that song, it very much gives the impression that Lilith was the one who kept them separated. We see it in the flashback when she takes Charlie away from him, and hear it in the lyrics when they say they "won't be pulled apart again". One interpretation I've seen that really makes a lot of sense to me is that because of that they both ended up thinking that the other one didn't want to see them, which led to resentment on Charlie's part and depression on Lucifer's. And I'm just so happy that they were able to get past all that and reunite as family.

“Hell’s Greatest Dad” has some fun moments for me, personally, but everyone has their own opinions, and I respect that. “More Than Anything” is definitely my favorite of the two in this episode. 💜

I feel like if I had a kid, I'd be like Lucifer... which is why I don't have a kid. TAKE THAT DEPRESSION!! 😊🐤🎉

Hes obsessed with ducks becasue the first time she saw one she smiled. He's tryign to make the perfect one to make her smile again.

I like to think of this episode as "alastors terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day". First, he has to play host to some little king dude who doesn't even know who he is, then some psycho bitch from his past shows up, so he's waiting for whatever trouble she brought with her to show up, and THEN one of his subordinates crossed a line and reminded him of something he didn't want to be thinking about. Mimzy is DAMN lucky that he got to vent some frustrations out on those loan sharks or he wouldn't have been so polite. Also... how could you not like an electro-swing hell version of "friend like me" from Aladdin?? That's like top 3 for me.

Yeah Satan is one of 7 deadly sins, I think Lucifer's duck obsession is a reference to ugly duckling tale, he is this duckling and trying to create a perfect duck, maybe it's his way to cope with depression, he is essentially an angel that trapped here, forced to rule hell his personal punishment observing consequences of his actions for thousands years, no wonder he doesn't believe in sinners if he literally can't see good side of people :'/, also some say he could be autistic or adhd coded and ducks may be his special interest 🤔

Lucifer’s reaction to meeting Vaggie gave such dorky Father-in-law energy. I loved it, and the “Take that depression” line was an instant classic.

My gosh, this is why I don't dive into fandoms 😂 Can I just...like and dislike whatever character I want to? Am I...free to do that? 😭

Honestly, More Than Anything fucked me up so much. I still can’t hear it without tearing up but at least I don’t full on bawl anymore lmao idk if you’ve seen it before but it reminds me (subject wise, not tonally) of the song at the beginning of Quest for Camelot called On My Father’s Wings, that came out after my parents got divorced and it fucked me up just as bad. The daddy issues will always find me 😂

I was introduced to Lucifer’s VA when he played a character in the Tamgled the series (same with Charlie’s VA) which is a pretty good show if you’re ever interested

Personally Hells greatest dad is the besf song in the show! I think my autism brain loves the chaos of it all, it's so silly. But i totally understand your view XD I can't say it didn't flabbergast me when you first said it though 😭 Also the entire fandom is pretty much in agreement that Mimzy messed it all up! Yeah I have adhd and it's my fav song, the chaos is amazing for me lol

Fun fact: Lucifer and Vaggie are the height of the average humans it’s just Sinners are unnaturally tall like for example Zestials height compared to the average human would be 10 feet tall

I haven't seen anyone not like the first song in this episode before,I love it but mimzy does ruin it in the end for me so I hate her XD

If you would like to see more animated shows with Jeremy Jordan, try Repunzel's Tangled Adventure (This may not be the exact name but it's close). He plays my absolute favourite character Varian, plus he also sings in that show (which makes me very happy), but be aware that it's I'm pretty sure PG because it's a "kid's show" (in my opinion it very much isn't. It has very good story lines, plot and characters) so I really do recommend watching it.

So Alastor, you might have noticed he is very harsh and even hostile towards men but soft and kind towards women even if they use him for personal interests (Mimzy) he will give her a warning. But why? My personal head canon: daddy issues. Since he lived in the early 1900's/1930's I can imagin life was not easy. And according to he internet he knows some broken Creole French so we can assume he comes from a mixed family. I thing he had an abusive father and his mother not seeing a way out took a lot of abuse from him and was probably the one who thaught him to smile no matter what that way no one will truelly know what you are thinking. I'm split between his father was his first kill and his mother slowly pisoned him setting an example for Alastor how not to get susspected and make sure nobody will point at you. So beside being a gentelman why did our dear (get it) boy came to the hotel? Well since Charly is third in power in all of hell with only her parents standing above her I think maybe he simply wanted to use her to find a way out of his deal. And MAYBE the one who has him on a leash is a man ergo why he got so defencive towards Husk when he mentioned his situation. I know the popular theory is that Lillith is his "owner" due to the 7 year dissapearance but I'm not russhing to jumpon that bandwagon. sorry for any grammer mistakes, english is my second language :]

Something I saw in the comments about Alastor in Hell's Greatest Dad but in all covers Alastor doesnt like to be not the strongest person in the room. Some he will respect like Zestial and Carmilla (Until she took a shot at him) and Charlie But with Lucifer, he intentionally attacks the daddy issue during the earlier parts of this episode. And He curses out another character later on (Not saying, mainly because you arent there yet)

Not a very good song???? Did we,, watch the same song? I get tastes are subjective but surely you'd have to be able to tell that it's GOOD, just not your taste? Death metal isn't my taste but I can still tell if it's a good/well-made song or not. Hell's greatest dad is like one of my favorites and is genuinely really fucking well made, too.
