Always ALWAYS have a discussion with your partner about getting married before you propose, especially in public. You can still surprise your partner with a nice proposal (uhh probably not one where you're in a ballgame stadium without a shirt on unless that's their cup of tea), but you both should be on the same page. @LoveLife-oo9cz that was my point exactly. I wasn't calling her a bitch but that's what many in public would think instinctively. And in her own words she folded to the social pressure. IMO she should have a rejected him then and there, since it would hurt more to think you're getting married and be on cloud 9 for hours or days, and planning and thinking about your future and even kids.. only to then have your "wife to be" tell you she put on an act and lied to you due to public pressure from random nobodies.. and in she doesn't actually love you enough to want to be your wife or create a family with you.. I'd also be surprised if they didn't breakup soon after too since; 1.even if she wasn't ready or wanted to marry at that time/age, they can still get engaged indefinitely until the time is ripe and they are both ready to tie the knot. 2. She lied to him. Put on an act in public and threw him under the bus when it mattered most. Of course he shouldn't have put her in that position, but it's not inherently bad(like lying is) and if he was brave enough to risk it all and ask her publicly, she should also be brave enough to also be answer honestly.. and not lie about the most important question and most important moment in his life. I mean he literally asked for it. He only has himself to blame if she refused and should have been mentally prepared for such an outcome. The girl has done nothing wrong at that point but after she folds to pressure and then lies, she is now crossing the line in terms of trust. And lying over such a big and important thing as marriage.

@@ex0duzzI think it was nice that she said yes initially. Everyone is looking at them and recording, so if she initially says yes.. she can say no a little while later when the cameras stop rolling. Him being on “cloud 9” for a few minutes only to be rejected privately is better than him being embarrassed in front of everyone and made to go viral no? That’s probably the only reason this video gained popularity was because she basically ran away after saying no. If she said “let’s talk about this later” or something no one would probably even care about this.

@@tdwendangered7384 I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of people doing public proposals, but it's so many stories saying how people would do it to force the girl to say yes so she wouldn't be shamed in public. In my opinion proposals should be intimate and 1 on 1 and genuine not at a fvcking sports game around a bunch of drunk strangers, not romantic at all for bro. P.S. I only made this assumption because if a woman really wants you and wants to marry you, she will have made it clear and let it be known to her boyfriend WAY before you propose. So her rejecting him here give me signs that buddy couldn't take the hint that she doesn't like him or sees him as husband material and he just couldn't stop simping and forcing things.

Heck even in the movies now ppl are getting rejected. The woman shouldnt be shamed for rejecting the guy.....that's her decision and in actuality it's better to get rejected and realise this isnt the person for you and move on not wasting anymore time than to have a woman say yes to later reject you anyways or going all the way to a marriage that will end in divorce. Dont worry there are some men that actually go through with a proposal and even marriage having been "forced" by their nagging girlfriends. I put that in quotes because if you truly dont see someone as your wife/husband then you should immediately end things instead of leading them on. At some point, it just “feels right” and makes sense to go ahead and get married.

I know so many cases of dude that did this dumb stunt as a way to pressure the woman inyo accepting. One was my violin teacher years ago, the relationship wasnt doing well and she had already talked to him about breaking up. His reaction was to throw a surprise party with both their families and propose to her in front of everyone as soon as she opened the door. It was awkward as hell, she took him aside to another room, and broke up with him on the spot and left. She explained things to her family later
