One thing that I think is impacting these sorts of channels is that there’s really not much quality media worth analysing any more. 99% of it is just cookie cutter pabulum. Can’t really write an analytical essay when it all just boils down to ´Disney wants to hold your attention for another six weeks so you don’t cancel your subscription. Shiny keys being jiggled in front of your face.’ Seriously my guy; however this plays out, I wish you the best.

I think this is it. HIS stuff is quality, but the quality of virtually all scifi/fantasy media is just so bad it’s not even… fun to criticize or mock it anymore. Like after a dozen train wrecks, train wrecks stop being entertaining.

​​@@FullFatVideos MatPat has said that the algorithm gets changed like every 3 to 4 months, and that it's been pushing notifications to non subs that watched one or two videos instead of actual subs with the bell on, so maybe that's why me and a lot of your viewers have not gotten recommended or other channels are more pushed, which sucks.

Tbh, I don't watch Doctor Who, so I haven't watched any of those recent videos. But I enjoy your video essays, so I hope you can get your viewership back up again. It sucks that there are so many low effort movie essay farm channels out there; it over saturates the search engine and makes finding good essay channels like yours hard to find.

I won't be able to support the patreon since I have a lot of creators smaller than your channel I donate to in hopes of getting them over that 100k mark, so I will just say thank you for your videos and work the past several years. Fantastic stuff and I am sad to see it end.

Honestly a weekly roundup of released media is something I’ve been craving, whether it be in podcast form or professionally written about. Wouldn’t mind dropping a 10 for that every month.
