Not Quite a Chateau DIY 187 - Brocante Buys - A Triangle Tool - Chateau Dining - and A Surprise Gift
We found some real bargains at the Brocante and a little treasure for Jane. Tony is back in his workshop, trying to make an unusual shaped spanner for Nick of The Expat Butchers and The Maison De Maitre youtube channel, find out if it fits here: • Treats, Tools & Troubl... ,then we dined at The Chateau De Colombe with Margaret and Martin, patreons of Stuart and Patrick of Journey to the Chateau fame.
For those of you who asked/insisted....I now have buy me a coffee registered, thank you so much

We are Tony and Jane and we are living in and renovating our old Relais De Poste/Coaching Inn.
We live in the middle of France in a region called The Berry.
We have over 40 rooms to renovate so there is plenty of work to be done. We also love to trawl the local Brocantes, flea markets and antique shops for quirky furnishings and furniture.
We love to find out about local history and often visit other peoples buildings including our friends’ Chateaux.

Tony is indeed an artist in metalwork! What a great help that will be when you can’t just go to the shop and buy one. 6K has now become 6.96- well done!! Loved the Brocantes Jane, thank you and the gift from Margaret was amazing, she is so talented. The dogs she made for Patrick and Stuart were fantastic. 🥰

Hi Jane, the brocantes were lovely, lots of nice interesting things but also some real not worth showing stuff!! The horse was beautiful and the table setting at Patrick and Stuart's was so lovely, nothing too extravagant, neat and tidy. So lovely to sit with your friends and family. Those garden ornaments were so grand, but it is a gift and they must be used and appreciated. Much more attractive than even those tiny terracotta pots. Some people are so blessed with wonderful talents. This was a lovely video enjoyed it so much, not off to eat something quick, it is a free for all evening, each must prepare their own little something. It is a chilly Friday evening, and I think the weather will be challenging again this weekend, but not as bad the last . Should bake something tomorrow. Have a great evening and a good weekend. Have much catching up to do on your previous videos. Kind regards, Elize.

Hi Grace, we do visit a lot of Brocantes, sorry, I understand that's not everybody's thing, I am actually thinking of creating a separate channel for the brocantes and upcycles because some people love that. I don't think there are many in the 41 -50 playlist, perhaps you can just skip through those bits. but there is also a lot about the works going on. There is a playlist featuring mostly DIY stuff. The vlogs are a chronological diary of our life in France, work we do, people we meet, places we go, local events etc .I do hope you can enjoy most of our content, thanks for watching x
