Today I want to share with you a recipe for fried fish in beer batter. This fish turns out incredibly tasty and juicy, and the crispy crust just melts in your mouth.
To prepare we will need:
Fish (any fish, but white fish with tender flesh is best)
Beer
Flour
Starch
Salt
Vegetable oil
Today I am preparing White Amur fish. It is large, tasty and there are not many bones in it.
It’s easier for me to cut the cleaned fish into pieces and fillet it, separating the large bones.
But you can simply cut it into steaks 2 centimeters thick.
I sprinkle the pieces of fish with salt, stir them and let them salt for a little while.
In the meantime, I prepare the best batter that will make the crust crispy.
In 100 ml. beer, I'll add a little salt, a tablespoon of starch and two tablespoons of flour.
I mix it well and pour everything into the fish.
By mixing I get an even distribution over the fish.
Now you can put everything into the frying pan.
I place each piece separately in heated sunflower oil and fry on all sides.
You shouldn’t turn the heat on high, but you won’t get a golden crust on low either.
Depending on the size of the pieces, I fry them on 2 or 4 sides.
Remove from heat on paper towels to remove excess oil.
This fish is incredibly tasty when hot and will remain no less juicy when it cools down.
