In the comics, Black Mask did just wear a mask, but it got burned onto his face, so it literally becomes a part of him.
This movie right here solidified itself as my all time favorite DC movie. I'm dead serious this time. Loved it from beginning to end, and will consider rewatching it anytime, any place. Batman: Under the Red Hood: 10/10 Also, lightskin ahh 🥷 1:08
The version youre thinking of is the arkham video game series! Jason in the comics is killed by the joker dead dead, buried, and wakes up alive in his coffin out of his mind needing to break out of it and dig himself through the dirt with all his injuries from the joker still there. He's put in the Lazarus pit later on by talia to heal his wounds and mind. This movie kinda simplifies it and takes away the grittiness of his revival tbh but its still a fave of mine

Too complicated to add in Superboy punching through reality which rewrote Jason's deceased nature.
Its crazy to me people legit act like Bruce doesn’t care about Jason just cause joker still alive or that he cares more about saving Joker than Jason. We can literally see his death permanently altered Bruce psyche. He was never the same after losing his kid.

After Jason's death, Bruce became much more brutal and harder on criminals. It wasn't until Tim Drake came along that Bruce lightened back up a little.

Thank you very much for taking the time and the effort for watching and editing this this is by far one of DC's best movies so far 10 years old plus but still holds up and no matter what every time I see it I always cry
You should watch Justice League: Gods and Monsters. It's an underrated animated movie with a cool alternate version of the DC trinity.
The other version you're thinking of is the Arkhamverse Jason Todd and Joker. with the Joker torturing Jason for nearly a whole year.
Facts if you be judge and jury your going to end up doing it again..
Comic book fans called a 900 number when the decision was made to kill Jason Todd.
