Dior has a relationship with the Royal Family that goes back literally generations. Their lightning-quick clapback at Meghan's false rumors showed they are committed to quality fashion and service. The selection of the actress playing Catherine in The Crown was the final slap and showed everyone they were NOT kidding when they totally rejected Meghan Markle. Furthermore, it will encourage other designers and product producers of every type (Audible rejected her super fast) to give her a firm "no." Lady C knows people at Dior. She was told they were just interested in Harry. Meghan had Harry try to talk Dior into signing both of them as a package deal. Dior said no. Then Meghan had Harry give Dior an ultimatum that he wouldn't sign a contract unless Meghan was given one. Dior said they were no longer interested.

The Christian Dior birthplace and now museum, is down the road from me and have exhibitions every 3 months featuring famous women throughout history. Lady Diana, Jackie O, Princess Grace, Audrey Hepburn etc and their actual gowns and outfits are displayed. The thought of Megan Markle being featured in there makes me feel physically sick tbh.

The thing which horrified me about the rumours Methane was going to be working with Dior was the Miss Dior perfume. That fragrance was created during Christian Dior's lifetime to honour his sister Catherine who had been in a concentration camp during the war due to her work with the French Resistance. The idea of the Meg being anywhere near that brand made feel physically sick.

Johnny Depp was the perfect ambassador for Dior. He was strong and masculine and mysterious and attractive and with his penchant for tattoos and large chunky jewellery, he was the epitome of elegance and class the brand is known for. He's also a decent, private and apart from Amber Heard debacle, in which he came up smelling like a rose with his class and dignity intact, Dior knew they would have no scandals or bad behaviour to worry about with him. Love me some Johnny Depp.

Keeping the recognizable symbols of his personal, rugged, and unpretentious style, he also raised sales at Rihanna's Savage X Fenty show. She more or less let them two or three times - then the disaster when she got unpleasant & refused to listen at all - & when Jessica (whom had Never been Paid although she was her Stylist for years) Left. Jessica had gently suggested that M could afford to pay her apparently (So M dropped her.) You can see the first Dropping the Royal Stylists Then the dropping Jessica. That fake announcement by MM must have cost Dior A LOT of money in cancelled orders!! I'd had my heart set on a gorgeous and very functional Dior coat from their online catalogue in Navy double-sided Pure Wool, and I'd only just completed the payment for my order when the announcement was made. It would have arrived two months ahead of winter - but I immediately cancelled that order! I wonder how many others cancelled theirs? That was a 4,750 pounds order! Dior is one of my favourite labels, and I have quite a few pieces from the French designers... But I am never supporting anything to do with H&M, and I know that many people feel the same way!! I did re-order the coat after they confirmed that they weren't doing any deals whatsoever, and it did arrive just in time for when I really needed it - but it must have been very confusing for them when I told them WHY I wanted to cancel the order, as they said they knew nothing about it .. and I still have that email! They really should sue the SkidMarkle for lost revenue after she put out that false information - because they certainly suffered losses directly due to SkidMarkle. Who the heck was she trying to kid? !!!

Dior was smart enough to know Markle would have been the kiss of death to their sales and brand.

My Granddad was a tailor and Grandma Dressmaker. I was sewing for my teachers in high school but started my first evening dress for my Mom at 12. All hand sewn. Now I am 70. I could dress a bag of flour and make it lovely. Poor Meg is just pitiful. Imagine wearing that rediculous wedding dress and veil and her hair made me cry. She looks like she gets dressed from a pile of clothes on the floor and her hair the same. I would NEVER allow any of my ladies to look like her.

I've been reading the book Traitor King by Andrew Lownie about Edward and Wallis Simpson and I'm shocked by the fantastic similarities to Harry and the Meg. Wasn’t there a rumour purportedly early on from her aides at the palace about MM being demanding of fashion houses or brands giving her freebies ? Maybe that’s one of the reasons why Brands wants to stay well clear of her knowing her unsavoury character.

Good foundation undergarments makes a huge difference in every look. Over the last few decades they have fallen out of favor. But I believe people look more put together when they have good support.

M went to the Ateliers & misbehaved. They let her back once & she behaved even worse Shouting & swearing (& telling the ppl working there; brilliant Professionals) that there thousands of hours of hand-embroidery & hundreds of ours of hand sewing "Was rubbish."🫣💜 Dior wrote to her. (& separately to the Palace) explaining why without actually listing the words/language that she used. The Late HMTQ was furious 😌😌🙏💜🇬🇧💜

She wanted YSL actually (but never got there) After her bad behaviour at Dior (& her even worse behaviour at Lanvin - what she did at Lanvin doesn't bear telling (& I can't give details of that) it will all come out pretty soon, looks like.) The French like the English expect politeness & expect impeccable behaviour from Royalty or even Nobility & the Upper Classes. I think it's pretty clear the language she used (& her throwing garments at decent, hard working Professionals who have produced Haute Couture to some of the World's most notable types. You do Not behave that way (& they didn't want to give her a Second chance at Dior - but somebody intervened once. (Not from The Palace though.) Somebody in the Industry got her into the Ateliers a second time. (& when she did it again & was worse the second time proving she wasn't "Just Jetlagged" the first time - Since she flew in from London anyway) it was not met with pleasure.) The person who got her in there a second time was absolutely mortified & pretty much everybody in the Industry (in Paris & some in London heard - eventually) That's all I can tell my friends say things in confidence & it's their Careers & mine that matter🙏💜🇬🇧💜

I wonder if it ever occurred to Meg that the royal family doesn't operate that way. They don't do 'deals' with fashion houses or anyone else. The fact that she wanted to do that is pretty telling about her.

She took pages from Diana’s playbook AFTER Diana had built a relationship with the press public and Rf for Years! She put in years of blood sweat and tears long before she was associated with Dior which made Dior more elevated. She put in no work and tried to ride Diana’s coattails which has actually brought down Diana’s allure. She and Harry have brought Diana’s name more into disrepute than Charles or the palace ever could. It’s insane but could be predicted. What a wicked web we weave when at first we practice to deceive. And boy what a web she’s woven.

Imagine having the chance she had to lead a 'life less ordinary' as a senior royal and your personality is so flawed you throw it away and now you're the laughing stock of the entertainment/business world. I think that at this point he is literally like her dog. Does everything she tells him to and even if he has his own opinion he won't say anything. She is ''the man'' in their ''relationship''. Harry never seemed to have a strong personality so she took advantage of him.

RF members and real Hollywood have events to attend that require dressing up. So they can do high/low. Meggie these days wears high-end pieces to walk in the parking lot. Catherine listens to stylists, meggie thinks she is the fashion expert.

She’s the biggest slime ball since Prince Andrew and she’ll never regain a good reputation. The entire planet has seen what she’s done.

She is the Brand Destructor! She is the absolute antithesis of the Dior esthetic, and it was delusional for her to push this out so flagrantly by her puff piece puppets in the press. The reason she didn’t get - it or will ever get any such house - was because said houses will always choose the possibility of someone in the BRF than ever tie themselves to her. She’s gonna have to go back where she came from, somewhere like Reitmans, though I’m not sure they’d want her either. Honestly the next 12-24 months are going to be really interesting re the Montecito pair.

I never realized how much tailoring can add to a look until i saw Catherine in a lovely coat dress at an event and another woman there was wearing the same coat dress. The difference was incredible!!

Meg won’t take advice. So no brand will work with her because she is unable to collaborate. The brand doesn’t just let the brand ambassador freestyle, loading up on free clothes that she just wears however she wishes. They expect fittings, stylists’ input, and oversight from the Creative Director. The brand ambassador wears the clothes the way they are meant to be worn. Before every appearance in the brand, the ambassador is dressed in the precise manner the designer intended.

Imo, she's looked her best in clothes that are everyday wear. Jeans, basic shirts/tops, business suits (I thought her suit at that Navy Seal charity thing fit her well and was well styled) She doesn't always get these items right, but she never gets anything right that is intended to be glamorous and elegant.

The video of her trying on that red gown w Hazzbeen shows how cuckoo they both r. She has blamed everyone for everything they've done. Blaming the royals for not teaching her, no one helped her yet it turns out she turned down every offer, every pc of advice. I think that I haven’t seen Meghan Markle ever appear chic. Chic is possible with almost any budget. Instead she wears expensive stuff and it looks ridiculous on her. She has a short, boxy torso with long very thin legs. Wearing too small clothes doesn’t hide it, wearing ginormous clothes doesn’t hide it. That makes her look frumpy rather than chic. Dior is not going to have anyone as a brand ambassador who looks frumpy.
