@@AlanYoungST225 hi my 225 is a ex police car with 150,000 miles with no signs of this issue should I still consider the mod or could I be one of the lucky one

@@chrisward6389 it's definitely a gamble if you don't do it I'd say. I had a split liner so ended up going for a linered block and forged pistons, rods and Newman cams

I read on a article that the pre facelift had the cracked liner issues, not the facelift models....????

nope they all have the same engine except the rs which can still crack.

ive got to get mine done think i will was there any difference in fl pfl blocks people say yes others say no. i know the rs block there were diffrences my veiw on this mod guess the best way to describe it as ive read is boil a pan of water and chuck a stainless peice of cuttlery in. the spoon disapaites the heat and stops and slows heat or is due to increased cylinder pressures as you up stages many thanks Anthony

you would be looking at a new Engine just make sure its had a block mod before buying one is the best bet
