I miss Starshine Legacy, this art and style, and the original characters and maps and and... It is so unique. Shame the new Star Stable didn't carry it on. They changed the art to completely different. They are revamping everything. It is turning into a different game.

I agree, i hate when games lose their signature style and what made them special in the first place, 2011-2017 SSO had a very stylized and specific style, now they are trying to make horses more realistic and be just like any other horse game out there

@Idotic Moron That is so true. People don't seem to understand that having nostalgia for something don't make it better. If Star Stable had not changed style, they would not be able to get as many new player and the game could have closed! Most people don't like playing outdated looking games!!!

The new team are making it into another game that doesn't make sense anymore because they don't care about the history of the game that started with starshine legacy. I think they don't even know what starshine legacy is, they only care about money, now it's just a game for kids.

I have 3 of them, just won a championship (I'm lvl 17 despite having played since 2012; I went on a huge hiatus between 2018 - literally last week lol) on one against a bunch of lvl 21s with their Gen 3 horses. Feeling proud.

I looked at the game trailer and got soooo much nostalgia! I started to play sso in 2013(2 years after release), then I got bored and quit. I then started to play again in 2020(cursed year am I right?) and I stayed. I got lifetime :)

TIMELINE OF CRUSTY SSO 2002-2010: incridibly crusty 2011-2016: CRUSTY. 2017: so dang crustyyyyyyy the horses tho

i remember logging in and i noticed that my starter horse got updated so i cried thinking he left me, good old times

I remember before they even had the online game, and you could basically only choose a profile picture of horses in the old artstyle. I have never been able to track back to it, I’m dying to see those profile pictures again😭

I don't know if you knew this, but you can still get the old star stable (the one on a different platform.) It just takes a couple installations and some digging in your files :') I just found that out today, sooo yeah I played way longer than I expected (PS.... WE CAN SWIMM)

@@StarStableOnlineUnited Okay, so my last novel didn't save... Let's try that again. So, the website I used is called, oldgamesdownload.com/star-stable/ From there, scroll down until you see a blue button under "download star stable." You should be given 2 more options, choose the one that says "archive.org." Now it should appear on that little bar at the bottom of your screen. Use the little up arrow next to it and tell it to open when it's finished. (It may take a while, so while you're waiting, you can safely navigate through your tabs) Once it FinAlLy opens, you should be taken to a file titled DVD.... something :') Find the file underneath it titled setup, and allow it to walk you through the steps before installing Star Stable (If prompted about the application changing your computer, click yes. It's not so much your computer, just the game files) It should require you to install 2 other things that help the old sso run, that's okay! And if I'm not mistaken, after completing that you should be prompted to install star stable! It may ask you where you want the file located, so choose a spot that is easy to remember and quick to access! When the actual thing finishes installing, go to where you told the file to be, and click on it.... And VIOLA! You're playing old SSO! (It should pin to your home screen automatically, but if it didn't, I believe there is a way to, but I won't add it here bc I already wrote an essay!) I hope this helps and you are able to get on!

Watching this gave me more nostalgic vibes than ANYTHING! I had stoped playing in 2016 and I came back just this year! When I logged in I was shook! I literally yelled “what happened?!” When I logged on!! Lolllllll

I remember i had one of the cd games 😭😭 My aunt gave me it. I used my grandmas computer, and they computer broke and she didn’t know the game was in it still. Well, I lost that game.
