This is my home track..I was born in Rock Island and this is where I fell n love with drag racing..My older brother who was a Green Berea n the Army took me 2 Cordova when I was 7 years old..I got 2 sit in the Chi Town Hustler and this started my 57 year love of Drag .Racing

My first love, '63 Max Wedge Savoy. What a time it was to be alive! Thanks for keeping this alive with these shares. Thank you from the couch in Ohio!

Back in the sixties my cousin drove a 1960 Chevy Bel Air with a 348 and trips, Three two barrels. My Uncle would disconnect the carb linkage so it only had the center two barrel, but when we got away from the house my cousin would pullover and reconnect it and I was young and probably easily impressed but it seemed like a rocket at the time. Then before we got back to the house he would pull over and disconnect it, so my uncle never knew.
