I'm here with you mate! Actually, my NOS knowledge is focused on land-based vehicles and even if technically, I had 10x more experience, I'd honestly feel arrogant to not listen to another passionate engineer. I have the curiosity to listen and certainty that I will learn something, I always do. By the way, I completelty agree with you that Mike is so good at explaining! I'm french-canadian, I have a mid-size garage and spend time on week-ends with neighbors, working on our projects and explaining similar subjects. All my french-speaking friends who've listen to him gave me the same comment: clear explanations and fun to watch! Even if they are not the best in english :)
Geez! I was smiling and laughing for the entire video. Mike is not only a doer but an outstanding teacher! He has the energy to pull you in and keep you with him as very few can.

Mike, I can't speak for everyone else, but I love hearing the science behind the build. It adds a lot for me and I'd love it if you continued doing two part updates; one part with the technical detail, one part with the build itself!

Seeing how nitrous injection started with airplanes (the gm2 systems in German aircraft from ww2), I can’t help but appreciate how mike is making old tech new again 😊Basically it’s WEP but for getting out of hot and high strips as opposed to escaping the gunsights of an enemy fighter 😜. This is awesome!
You just hit on one of my favorite things, nitrous! And no. It won’t blow so long as you’ve got a good fuel map with the right nozzles. KISS is for the common man. Not inventors or limit pushers who have created the Aviation field and NASA, Skunkworks or Lockheed which you now get the benefits of. Opinions are like, well you know, men like Mike & Mark are a gift to the Aviation community and their bold and brass balls are to be respected even if it cost them their lives one day. Following the sheeple, the heard or the crowd when it makes sensible sense to be as safe as possible; I agree, but history bores a child who is not here to follow, but boldly go beyond the confinements of the norm and push limits and boundaries in the event of creative discovery. Hence, celebrate not denigrate.
It’s things like the throttle spring that really get me. Such simple and brilliant design for ideal pilot experience. This kind of thinking can be carried over into anything. Genius.
Ok that's it my crippled ass is going into aviation! You've got me on the edge of my wheelchair cushion with all your videos! Thanks for restarting my dream of flight!

@@MrGaryGG48 this is an example of high effort engineering. Mike is my Boi, I've been fallowing along on KZread for a long time. I like to think, man if someone applied this much thought and engineering into a car, you'd build a street driven f1 that looked like a carbon fiber McLaren. This plane is on another level. I'm sitting here messing with my turbo street cars coming up with neat engineering tricks that are cool, but just not on this level. My buddy has a 50shot to spool his turbo on the line for launch, then Mike over here I got 250 shot on toggle depending on how much power I feel like hitting it with on a trick turbo throttle switch activation. I'm happy to have pulled 300hp out of a street car. Haha.
Mike, absolutely incredible ideas, vision, boldness, workmanship, enthusiasm, and capabilities, but I really worry about pushing the limits too far.

I stopped asking "WHY" a long time ago. Now I just go "Heck yeah!" Super excited!
Short lake take offs? Sure, that's a logistical reason. Drag racing your airplane in a STOL competition is another. I think your going to be racing far more often than visiting those lakes you mentioned. Did your wife buy the narrative? Hahaha 😂
So much well-being generated watching your videos (no matter the complexity) that no-one should be bored.
