I heard stories about these guys from an ex-operator. They used to specialise in night HALO insertions onto oil rigs in the north sea in winter. Even the SAS refused to do this because they said it was far to dangerous. Mad respect from Australia

cheers. im a recruit in the army now, (css/logistics) but there is still a ton of basic soldier education. the most bad ass thing ive done so far is being at the shooting range at -30°c half of my platoon got frost damage on their face after aiming with our mp7's. we also have to drill with mittens imagine that

I know that no girls that have tried have ever gotten through the training, and I know that there is a few men that barrely makes it, but I will try in 4 years and I will do whatever I'll have to do to be the one that gets through.

we actually make artillery, and we have some of the best equipment in the world, in the viking ages we practicly ruled the world, we conquered the englsish, we raided the french, we were the ones who pushed the russians into what is now russia. we had amazing technology, its sad what we have become now, we are still good compared to our size, but we were a super power. arguably the best, mabye the french chineese were our only "real" threats.

Jimmy Jackson when someone says this unit is the best its always subjective there is no denying they are good and well trained and that's enough there is no way to prove which units is truly the best for that they all have to go on a real live mission (not a pre-defined competition) perform the same tasks with REAL life threats and deal with situations they were not prepared for and then you have to repeat the same mission with the same parameters to compare it to other units so its never going to happen

I'm Polish and im proud of my special forces to -GROM and FORMOZA. But your forces are really good 2 :)

The two most well trained guys I know failed on day 2 of the uptake to the special forces (FSK). They had been training for years, spent 2 years in the military as well. Respect for all the hard work these guys are doing.

I have great respect for Norwegian SF. To me they are among the most daring, direct and competent in the world. Respect from a Georgian.
