If you want to use slang and stuff, you can also say ''Hva skjer?'' (What happens?) it means something like ''What's up?'' and you can answer just like you would answer in your language but in norwegian :) But remember, this is more used if you are young and it doesn't seem correct to use it to older people or people you should show respect to, like teachers, the boss, your grandma etc...

I speak several languages........I must say.......that the Norwegian language is indeed the most interesting language in the world! I wish to master it someday ! Har det !

This video is kinda old, but the subject is very current for me. I read Norwegians don't use this questio that much, because it is a deep one for you, which you're not gonna answer it shortly and not to strangers. Can you confirm this, Karin or any person who lives/have lived in Norway? If this is true, what do you say instead when greeting a known and an unknown person? Thanks in advance

Have you ever done a video on how to pronounce the letter "r"? I'm terrible at it. I can roll my tongue, but not while pronouncing a word with it. Is there some secret to getting it? Lol. does anyone else have difficulty with this? Darn American tongue! Lol

Hello! Of course I have! There are many people struggling with it. I suggest you check out "the R-sound" and the video "retroflex sounds" :) they both focus on the R in different ways :) Good luck!

Cassi Christianson You can also try few steps to learn Rulle-R. First you need to learn "d" sound, but without aspiration. (It's easy - just don't read D as "Dh", the English way, only sharp fast D, no "h" sound afterwards.) Then substitute "r" in the words with the new "d". And finally, try to put more pressure to "d", so the tip of your tongue will vibrate. I hope this helps.

Because it literally means: "How does IT go (with you)?" not "How do YOU go?"

those bros The english is explained to show you how norwegian say it. If I translated all the sentences to "how are you" it would not make any sense to anyone. Norwegian say "how are you having it".

We are learning Bokmål instead of Nynorsk, don't we..? I hope I don't meet Nynorsk speakers if I learn Bokmål, I'd be really confused I think if there's a lot of difference.. bye.. thank you...

This isn't bokmål, it's an eastern Norwegian dialect..
