Geiranger was the best place/scenery we had in our Scandinavian cruise via NCL Prima last May, it was gorgeous & the weather that time was sunny & in 50's

Wow, sounds like the weather favoured your cruise well! We can only imagine how wonderful it must have been. Geiranger in rainy scenery has it's allure but nothing beats the sunny view in our honest opinion. Now that you mention May, perhaps that was the time we should have planned in our cruise. Indeed! I think of the frozen pizza we have at the convenience store. They seem to have replaced it now with the Msc euribia though. Hope this episode have been helpful and have a good one!

Thank you for the nice comment! Regarding the tour from cruises, I would say it depends on your preferences. Tours from the cruise tend to be more expensive (almost double the normal rate in some cases), but then it is arranged by the msc and the cruise ship won’t leave you if the tour happens to be late upon disembarkation. We wanted more flexibility from our part due to the kids and not really keep track of schedule and therefore arranged tours of our own. The only time we kept in mind was when the boat leaves port. And we found it cheaper as well. Hope this helps and good luck on your upcoming cruise!

26:39 in my opinion is better a holiday by camper than on a cruise

We hope to upload part 2 of the cruise soon :) We had planned a full day trip in Kiel with roundtrip transportation to Hamburg when we touched base at the Kiel port, but our youngest was feeling under the weather and had fever. Great movie, very good content, a lot of useful info and really pro edition, very nice to watch - thanks for that 👍 I plan as well msc cruise this July on exact the same itinerary, hope you will upload part 2 soon. Watching the movie I wonder if you had a drone with you? I read that drones are not allowed on MSC, did you have any problem or special requirements because of that?

We really appreciate that it could provide any insight or ease for you and anyone that will be planning on doing this cruise :) Part 2 will hopefully be up soon, we also really want to have it up as soon as possible. Regarding drone part, I was gonna bring the drone with me since there were no regulations or info about it on the time we hade booked our cruise. That changed 3 months prior to our booked cruise. It really bummed me out since I know royal Caribbean allowed you to bring a drone but not use it while on board or in the vicinity of the ports. At the risk of having it confiscated every time you board the ship, I simply decided not to bring it along. The drone footage you see are stockfootages. If I were to do this trip again and fully use my drone, I would rather opt for a road trip with the flexibility to adjust according to the weather. Hope this helps you out in your coming trip! I do hope the weather favors you far better than it did us :) best of luck and have good one!

With your own drone? Also, i believe i heard you say somewhere that you travelled in August. It looks pretty cold, is that common or just bad luck? We really appreciate that you notice the effort we put in to make it as visually and content wise compelling :) Regarding the drone shots, they were stock footage. MSC was quite adamant on not bringing drones onboard and I had heard that they will confiscate it if they come by it upon security check when re-boarding the ship. Yes, that is correct, we did the cruise in the beginning of August. We felt like it was bad luck since there is around a 30% chance of rain during August, and when it did rain it got quite cold. Hopefully this helps you on your upcoming cruise with the better and updated MSC Euribia! We also hope that you’ll be getting a much sunnier weather than we did! Thank you SO much for this series. I am booked on MSC Euribia with almost the exact same itinerary in June with my toddler. Did you use the daycare at all for your children during the cruise?

Thank you for watching! We did try the daycare for a couple of hours for our eldest, but we’re informed by the daycare staff that he was not comfortable being there by himself, was mostly passive and not engaging in play and and was constantly asking where we were. So it was more that it wasn’t a fit for us, but in terms of the daycare staff and the many activity rooms it was great. For the time we were there the msc kids area was probably running at a 60% capacity, so the staff seemed to have time to attend to the kids that were there. Hope this helps and have a great cruise this coming June!

Thank you for the kind words! Our secondary camera that we used was the dji pocket 2. Great camera with smart auto exposure outdoors, but quality suffers when in doors. It was either this or the go pro, but thought that the gimbal that comes the dji pocket 2 would bring better and smooth footage. Hope this helps and hope the weather finds you well and sunny on your future Norway hikes!
