I lived in Alaska right next to Resurrection Bay, I used to swim in the bay all the time! It was cold, but it builds character!

Now, go find yourselves a man each who can take responsibility of you and beg him to give you an strict upbringing where you are not allowed to express a taught outside what's trivial. If this is impossible, find yourselves a job where salary comes from voluntary trade and not legalized theft.

It sure was! Norwegian has super affordable flights, definitely check them out.

I really enjoyed the video. I can't imagine only 3 hours of daylight before the sunsets again. When it comes to cold weather we ain't the best of friends. With that said, I am glad you brought Norway to me by video because that is about as close as I am going to get there. Love you. 7/25/2021

Looks like a great place to visit. We love visiting snowy destinations as snow is limited in Australia. Norweign looks comfortable to fly in much AirAsia in our part of the world

Thank you Alice, what a great video. I have been considering making the trip back to Norway following a fantastic Hurtigruten cruise there last year. I wish to see the interior and meet with the Sami in the visit style that you have shown. Your video has helped me clinch that decision. If only it were not for COVID I would be going in the winter of 2021/22 but I will be going 2022/23 as I have booked a cruise in Spain but will be adding Norway to my journey. Thank you for ideas and presenting the life and things to do so well.

That was great Alice! I didn't know you were talking about a winter trip to Norway! Thoughts..... that scene with the reindeer in the mist truly was surreal. That is great footage! .... nice shots with the drone - had you used drone footage previously? I don't recall seeing any before this. What kind are you using? ... -25, yep that's real deal cold. Have you ever been in those temperatures before? Sorry for so many enquiries haha Lastly, one small piece of feedback - I thought the music had just a little too much volume when you were talking about the sauna. Just my two cents. : ) I look forward to your next adventure!

Wandering Sole Images Thanks for all the questions, I use drone footage when I can. There are so few places it’s actually legal to fly them, and I try to only fly mine when I’m legally allowed to. This was my first time shooting in temperatures this cold and I will say it had its challenges. Frozen microphone, frozen lens many things stopped working altogether and batteries lasted literally just a few minutes or not at all.

I think you got way too less views for the quality of this reportage. This is exactly the level of content I like on this platform :)

If you want to see the sun return I recommend the 2nd to third week of January. My trip was from January 15- 23rd.

The reindeer stay is with an indigenous family through Visit Natives it’s an immersive multi day trip. If you want to just ride a sleigh with reindeer you can do that in Tromso area in winter

Originally I was going to plan a Tromso trip at the end of August, but I'm thinking Iceland may have more to do that time of year; majestic waterfalls, Black sand beach, the blue lagoon, and of course..possibly seeing the Northern Lights. (My dream)

Much healthier than eating a cow as they are considered wild game and they are very lean. I actually don’t eat meat but always try local traditions

Lol as a Norwegian I grew up eating moose, reindeer, whale meat and pigs blood besides, fish, beef, chicken and pork. And even though we do have wild reindeer here which can trace their lineage back to the Ice Age, only one in Europe, the majority is domesticated over hundreds of years by the indigenous Sámi. The Sámi is not Norwegian and not Germanic as they originally migrated to Northern Europe Scandinavia from Siberia Asia during the Last Ice Age, and mixed with the 1st Europeans who was dark with blue eyes originating in the Middle East. Back then no modern state/nation of Norway, Norwegian language, culture, identity or people…
