I totally agree with you. I see a lot of young and old making mistakes that I don't think they should. I believe everyone should have an investment plan that improves their financial stability. The investment can be your retirement plan or your future plan, whatever you want, but the most important thing is that you have an investment plan that pays off.

Dear Anna. Danmark and UK is as far as I know the only to centres there don't have an official nationalday. Probarly because the contries have been indepenent contries for mellinium. Denmark have only been occupite for scort time. But we cellebrate our constitution. In dansk grundlov. We do that 5th of June. It is a Day where politicians make speaches about what they think is impotant, so it is more a day fore political discusion than celebrating Denmark. It is official a half holliday. As a Dane I realy love Norway and Norwegans. I of ocource also like Denmark. I am very thankful to live in a Nordic country. Realy like our videos. Love to you🙂👍

We have a day in Denmark clebrating our constitution (Grundlovsdag). But we did not have to fight as hard for it, and with it our independence in the way, the Norwegians had to (exept for the South of Jutland/ Nordsleswig). Så Grundlovsdag is not nearly as important as 17. of May. Incidently the Swedes only established their national day recentlly - the day after Grundlovsdag. da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sveriges_nationaldag

Denmark has a Constitutionday, called Grundlovsdag, every year at June 5'th. It is a national celebration day, marking the day, where the first democratic constitution was signed in 1849. However, for many people, it is not a day off, but a normal working day. Usually there are small public outdoor gatherings around the country with political speeches, but nothing like the Norwegian National Day. Even in Copenhagen we have a Norwegian parade May 17'th through, walking through the center of the city.

Bicycles- the Danes share this addiction with the Dutch!

I loved your comparison of Denmark and Norway. It was informative and funny. I was never in Norway, but I lived in Denmark for 25 years. The things you said about life in Denmark were spot on. When I first came to Denmark there wasn't a big selection of food. As Denmark became more and more international, the food selection improved a lot. I have a vague memory of a Danish equivalence of Constitution Day. However I don't remember it ever being celebrated in any significant way. It was more like any other day on the calendar.

Fun seeing familiar places. We are South African, but spent 19 months in Denmark and recognize many of the spots in Copenhagen. Are you back in Norway again? Or just visiting but still staying in London? I must be honest, I would not move to London but we are more of the country side kind of family. Possibly going to Kongsberg in a few months. Ever heard of Fredheim Livsstilssenter?

I made the move to Norway about a year ago from Hawaii. I miss home, but I do not regret moving here. You played a big role in my decision to move here. Mahalo, and thank you.

@@adn9122 I didn't think Norway got that hot even in summer, I thought it would be like 18°C, obviously humidity also plays a part in how hot it feels, do Norwegians take alot of holiday time of work in the summer like Swedes? I've also heard ye like yachting 😂. I'm definitely going to visit someday.

Great vlog as always dear! Danes have always been Europeans. The are connected to Germany, so there is your answer to all the good food and alcohol. In Norway, and Sweden you need to salt it, cure it, smoke it or bury it! That is the truth! Keep up the good work. Be safe!

Went hiking up Mount Keipen near Harstad Norway and meet another group a short time later with the one girls carrying a very young baby on her front. How I met them is I started trekking first but they passed me, including the one with the baby, I was in awe. They said it was just a litter stroll for them, was all I could do not to show I was out of breathe, didn't hid it well. Copenhagen much easier to walk the streets.

National celebration day is nothing in Sweden either. When i were there, no one celebrated and all stores were open.

I think I read a blogpost with the exact same words. Am I crazy? 🤣

Also, how do you think the tap water in Denmark compares to the water in Norway? I traveled through Norway and Sweden last summer, ending up in Copenhagen for a few days. All these countries have good drinking water; but, of course, the Norwegian stuff tasted best... :)

I think Allans pølser is the best in Copenhagen it's right beside hotel d'angleterre kongens nytorv, they have oppe any other week. Fx this week.

Copenhagen is far more beautiful than Oslo! On the other side Norway have a real fjords. :D

If you want to know about a differently motivated kind of bicycling in Norway you should check out the channel matthewnorway. But for daily transport you are right, it is much harder in Norway to use as a primary transport.

As a Dane I for many years toured Norway in my car, and coming into a shop up north, the first filled shelf you would meet, was the shelf with essences! Whisky, cognac and similar, to my recollection!! At a time the selling of a stainless distillery apparatus became illegal in Norway, so they sold the rest in Denmark! It came from a Firm in Haugesund, which was one of the totally "dry" areas in Norway, by that time. So I must admit I have serious doubts about the official figures for the alcohol consumption in Norway!!! Plus both Norwegians and Swedes come to Denmark (And Germany) to be able to buy Alcohol!!!

When it comes to culinary experiences with anything related to fresh fish, you'll find much more of that in North Jutland & West Jutland (on the mainland peninsula), not really in Copenhagen (on the island of Zealand). If you go to the island of Bornholm it's also a big part of the local dishes, especially smoked fish etc. Ofcourse this is about Denmark, not the whole Kingdom Of Denmark (including Greenland & The Faroe Islands) aka Rigsfællesskabet :D

I have visited both Copenhagen and Oslo. I like the Danish culture and the Norwegian scenery. I tried cycling both places and had the same experience as you-I felt safe and comfortable cycling around Copenhagen and used a bike almost every day while I was there. But I tried it only once in Oslo before deciding to just walk and take the trams. I think the biggest problem was that while exploring Copenhagen I could generally manage to follow signs and maps while cycling, but in Oslo, I was too distracted by traffic and signage; I just couldn’t process all that while riding.

I should add, though, that I loved Oslo and had a wonderful time there. I think maybe cycling works in Oslo if you are already familiar with the route; I just found that trying cycle and figure out the route simultaneously a bit overwhelming.

No…but I think maybe I understand your question. I’ve visited several capital cities and generally find them to have more non-locals than other cities in the same country, and I was warned in advance to expect lots of tourists in central Oslo, and there were indeed many of them. However, I chose a to stat in a slightly less central neighborhood, where I met lots of Norwegians.

I am a Dane and I am here to correct your mistake: There is no such thing as "Norway". It is properly addressed as "Northern Denmark".

I drove in from where I was staying around 9/10am and the parking were full even at CC Drammen, but almost not a single person anywhere. It was actually creepy how quiet it was.

The Danish National day (constitution day) is 5th of June -we don't pay much attention to it since we never fought for independence from anyone(except we were occupied by the Nazis for 5 years) -Norway became independent from Denmark in 1918 and got their own King -who was the brother of the Danish King and they got their own constitution -that said in Denmark tradition is very important especially Christmas, Easter , Confirmation to Christianity for teenagers and may 5th we celebrate the liberation from the Nazi occupation ---as a more resent thing more and more celebrate Halloween , but we also have our own Mardi Gras that is mainly for kids , and we celebrate Saint Hans where we have huge bonfires on the beach and burn the witch( its a doll) -sending her to Brocken in Germany some areas also have local traditions

Well, where I live in Norway we have no one policing us😂. We drink in public places if we want. There is not much of it happening but if we celebrate or something big is happening we party how we want 😂. But it is also up to us to make sure that things don’t get out of control. If outsiders comes to join the party they better behave 😂. It takes the police about two hours to get here so you can be sure we handle our business before they come 😂

Likewise Danish but, thankfully not living in DK. When it comes to celebrations of constitution day...I would be very quiet about mine, if I were in Denmark where certain religions simply just do NOT follow the constitution but, see themselves as above "simple" things, such as the written Laws, this being National Danish laws, EU laws and International laws..hence, I would be very, very quiet Danes in Denmark...."amen" 😢

You made a big mistake! Insulted all Norwegians. Norway has never been a part of China nor Germany nor Denmark. Norway is a Kingdom. The Kingdom was run by a commen Queen, King with Sweden and Denmark, the Kalmar Union. Sweden left. Norway had a a Danish King for a long time. Never ever part of Denmark.

The problem with Denmark is that they are trying to steal the Viking era from Norway where it originally originated. The Vikings had resting places on the route from Norway and set up small bases in denmark and sweden. Think about it: Why would you need a viking ship in flat countries without fjords? The Viking ships were originally made to cross fjords and were later further developed to cross oceans. Basically what I'm saying. The Vikings were Norwegians so DENMARK PLEASE STOP impersonating being vikings.

You are not correct. The vast majority of vikings lived in Denmark, and sailed out from there. But Norway and Denmark were closely connected allready at that time, and for many years had the same kings. The Danish vikings predominantly went to England, France and the Baltic Sea. The Norwegians predominantly til Ireland and Scotland, and later on Faroyar, Iceland, Greenland and Canada.

@@KimBenzonKnudsen You are wrong: There were no "danish vikings", only Norwegian vikings living in the "danish" colonies since they conquered the territory on their way from the deep fjords in Norway when they went on their missions. But you are not alone in your misunderstanding of this, since all danes seems to think that when a german truck driver stops in denmark for him to rest - then the driver is danish.
