Another fab episode if a trifle on the wet side! So good that these days you can actually stay dry on a motorbike even in continuous rain, in the old days, it was a very different story! Really enjoying the commentary from both of you it makes the film totally immersive and even more enjoyable. Emily your route planning skills are mighty impressive, must make Sean's job easier as some of the roads are quite challenging considering the weather and the size of some of the vehicles you meet on these narrow roads! Looking forward to the next episode, ride safe! Hoping for some fairer weather for you too!

Hi, great to hear from you and really glad you are enjoying the series! Yeah at the end of these rainy days we are shocked as to how dry we are underneath! Essential to being able to cover a good distance all day in the rain. We appreciate your encouraging words and it's very kind of you to say so about the commentary . I must say Emily does a fantastic job of researching the route and navigating and it really does make riding easier. The weather does get better.....eventually hehe Cheers Sean and Emily

Great video! Feel I need to correct you a bit though:Unless you were staying in Vatnestraum just 40 km from Kristiansand ( and it didn’t look like you were, looking out the window 😉 ), you didn’t fill your bottles with Voss water 😂 Voss Production is😢located in Voss outside Bergen, but in Vatnestraum outside Kristiansand.. Sorry you didn’t get to experience the landscape in sunny weather though.. Thanks for sharing! Loved the video 🤩 Erik, Norway 🇳🇴

The road 50 over aurlandsfjell was the main road up til year 2000 when the tunnel opened. Was a bit crowded over that road back in the days. Im so happy that many old roads are kept open still. Im lucky to have been driving just about all of them and the worst of them i think was old måbødalsvegen from Eidfjord up to Hardangervidda. Mighty crazy road that closed totally after a bus accident in the late 80,s and then it was built tunnels up the valley. Another one was Stalheimskleiva but it has closed for good now because stupid tourbusses destroyed it 🤬🤬🤬 😭

Hi Dr Mckay, wow that road must have got congested when it was the only route! Fortunately for us everyone was using the tunnel so we had it to ourselves! I just searched the måbødalsvegen on google maps looks like it's a walking path now but what i could see it looks very narrow! -cool that you were able to drive it. Unless it's not been updated the Stalheimskleiva looks to be open (although it's a one way road now) -maybe we check it out next time =) All the best Sean and Emily

@@SeanandEmily I think you still can walk or cycle old Måbødalsvegen but there are signs saying you do it on your own risk because all the rockslides but im not sure. 1973 I was 2 years old first time going to Norway in grandpa,s Cortina. Grandma and mom in the back and i sat on the passenger floor in front cos grandpa took out the whole seat so i could sit there and play 🤔😂 Not the safest way but back then it worked. Ive been to Norway around 35 times since that and i will continue going there til im not able to drive anymore so i have a few trips left to do still 😁

What fantastic trips you went on as a kid! That must have been some adventure back in the 70's -the Cortina is a great looking car too must be some good photos Knocking around too. I can see why you keep going back! It's such a fantastic country to travel through. So we are guessing you recognize pretty much every road we have ridden so far =) ..thinking it wont be our last time here either but some way to go to beat your record =) Cheers Sean and Emily

Sorry to disappoint you. Voss water is not tapped at, or from Voss/Vossevangen at all. It is from Iveland in Agder county. Voss is in Vestland (West coast) county. I commend you on the choice of roads. Setesdal is definately the best choice from Kristiansand to Lysebotn.
