Northstar Miniatures: Frostgrave Soldiers II (Female) Unboxed and built!
Today we'll crack open the female soldiers box set for Frostgrave!
Cool thing about them is they're just as compatible as all their male counterparts that have been released so far!
While on the shorter side of the scale spectrum, they are in line with the rest of the Frostgrave line and considering how many releases there are so far, that's not a big problem!
Finding them at retail has proven difficult for me, but ordering them online is much easier.
Get them directly from Northstar in the UK or Brigade Games who partners with them in the US.

The Snake Man looks impressively larger than the Soldiers II to me. Thanks for the video!
The only complaint about this boxed set (except the lack of shields for all the figures) is that they are all dressed for cold climates, but after all is called Frostgrave. Jokes apart it's a nice group of figures, I hope that they'll made sets for warmer climates, such as amazons and similar

I agree. It's been a while since we saw some plastic Frostgrave releases. Yeah, Northstar is busy with the initial Stargrave releases and all, but I want to see more funky Frostgrave figures! Plus the whole compatibility between lines is a huge plus. The more customization options the better!
Subbed!!

Welcome aboard!
I've got mixed feeling about official Frostgrave minis... but good to see some female minis that don't look like cheesecake

They're decent for what they are, and if you split a box with another player it's relatively cheap for ten figures, which is more than enough for a typical warband. But yeah, my current contemplative Frostgrave warband is going to be all Rising Sun figures from CMON or everyone decked out in Kingdom Death armor kits.
Thank you

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature i don't know about that lol.
It is a shame that they are moulded on to the base as it will be tricky to cut them off and base them on scenic bases.

Yeah. I can see why they're there, and they can be especially if you're new to modeling, but it's even more of a hassle trying to remove it. These days I tend to save all my scenic bases for the more elaborate resin kits I have... if I can be bothered. I'm really weird about basing models on bases they didn't come with. It often weirds me out!
For a mini guy just getting into sprues, are these interchangeable with Gripping Beast, Wargames Atlantic, or any other brands for kitbashing?

YES! They all will work great together!
I know what you mean I tried to sucker my sister into building her own sprue of female minis. She still likes painting them just not building or playing.
Any suggestion to miniatures that are similar in size to GW state troops

These ladies are just a bit smaller than the state troops but the parts are pretty interchangeable- at least for the men. Haven't tried using any parts on the female soldiers yet, but I know that I used plenty with the men.
I'm hoping someone can tell me how these scale against pathfinder/D&D/Reaper minis.

They are about the same size and level of "heroicness"
Where did you get the buildings I see?

The ones in the background? Those are from the Carnevale starter set from Tabletop Combat. They're available separately here- Regular- ttcombat.com/collections/carnevale/products/venetian-buildings or Dilapidated- ttcombat.com/collections/carnevale/products/crumbling-buildings
