Used to rent this from my local video store as a kid in the 90s. It’s held up shockingly well. Pike are still my favorite fish, and inspire awe to this day.
OMG!! Its here! The VHS I watched over and over again! This made my month!

@@viper516 same here haha, love these old pike docs
Awesome video ! After you catch a Pike, you won’t want to catch any other freshwater fish (except maybe a musky, lol) The northern pike reminds me of a ‘freshwater barracuda” this is a great fishing show, and always entertaining and educational as well..The in- fisherman TV guys are some of the people that inspired me to start my own channel and although I am low on subscribers You guys have motivated me to create more videos and Not give up, thanks again tight lines from Captain Walt

THE FISHING CHANNEL NE FISHING ABC - you’re right, no more Freshwater bass for me, or if I catch one I’ll use it as bait for Northern Pike, LOL

I caught a baby Pike once. Biggest freshwater fish I ever caught.
Great video; timeless information from legends of the sport! On the one hand it takes me back hearing their voices, on the other it’s up to date information I can use tomorrow! Thanks gentlemen you rock!!!
What a blast from the past! Thank you! I honestly probably watched this tape 100 times before my trip to Canada to chase giant pike when I was 14. And I got one! She was 43" and caught on a tandem Mepps Giant Killer in white/silver casting into cabbage beds.

Great lure! Its all about the memories now. ❤
Crazy how young the boys of in fisherman are ! Al Linder and the snake charmer are two legends ! The south side of Chicago will never forget the linders!
I just love your Pike videos and this one is insane with that 30+ pounders pike !! Al Lindner you absolutely rock !! My favorite English host by far.
Love all the classic videos
Sad he mentions Mormon lake/resivior Arizona , I was in Flagstaff AZ camping about a year ago (2021) and it's completely gone bone dry dirt, still shows up as a lake on a map and that's why I drove there but it's hard to even imagine a 20lb fish ever once lived there, let alone enough worth mentioning , theirs not even a drop of water as of present day, you can clearly see by Google maps/satellite imaging
I caught my first pike while trout fishing on a really light set up. It was the most insane fight I ever had on a lake. Felt like I was pulling in a big salmon. They are invasive where I live so it's actually a mandatory keeper that was a great day. Man I just love these old fishin videos. Reminds me of my childhood.
Thank you for uploading In-Fisherman! I ordered this video from you back in the 90s, watching it many times, and wanted to watch it again.
I love these videos from back in the day. I wonder if these lakes are just as pristine as they were.
Even for a older video this is what’s up !
love seeing the classic fishing from back in the day. larry dahlberg was and still is, one of my favorites
Al Linder is an absolute legend

That pike al caught had to be 50+inches, it was nearly as tall as he was lol I'd love to hook into one that huge my biggest is 40in about 20lbs and his made mine look small
remember when my dad got this on vhs we watched it so much growing up
I love the excitement in this video.
amazing stuff
Awesome I have the same reel still that Al caught the big pike with!!
Cracking footage and some fantastic fish !! Nice one
great fishing time well spent fishing for pike
I’ve always wanted to know what the length of Al’s monster Pike was. It’s the biggest pike I’ve ever seen.
lovely video
brillaint video lads
Loved this😊🤟
Incredible!
Amazing!
That is one hell of a pike! Even for dutch standards
man I would do anything to see the old walleye video series you guys had. how can I get those or find them?
This video makes me regret throwing away all that awesome clothing from back in the day
Hey In-Fisherman TV, do you have anymore classic In-Fisherman videos?
They aren't that hard to catch.. I catch about 6-7 a day just cast and retrieve from shore with a wide variety of different spoons and jerk baits. Absolutely amazing fish.

Yeah, the little guys. Big pike are the hardest fish to master in the United States. Way more uncommon than large musky.
Yes this is awesome.! Is there going to be any of the cooking episodes?
What year did this come out ?
The northern pike lose much longer than 10 to 12 years this is very old information❤😢
Why can’t I find Mormon Reservoir in AZ on google maps or in a google search? Did it dry up? Was it renamed?

Because it's called Mormon Lake not Reservoir ! I found it right away, so it's there ! www.google.com/maps/place/Mormon+Lake/@34.9571191,-111.4671818,13.5z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x872dc092f9d68917:0xaa9c3516a89714e6!8m2!3d34.9402296!4d-111.4573989!16zL20vMDliODJx?entry=ttu
How are you able to hold them under there gill like that and those sharp teeth not hurt & cut ya hands? Cause they certainly cut mine up.. great video tho.. thank you for making this.
Crazy how badly he is grabbing them!!!!
The key to loosing pike . . . Not catching pike is fishing where pike aren't .
try using 4 to 8 lb monofilament line. Hooking pike is only part of the fun if you have any brains in your head and sense of sportsmanship. Hook a big pike and know that you only have 6 lb line, you can't just winch him in. I have caught up to 7.5lb pike on 4 lb line in my little pond spot that is right next to the river that flows through town, and also a 12 lb pike on 6 lb line. That one was a lot of fun, featuring an 8 minute fight in the confines of the pond before he started to get ahead of me and got into the current and ran me out of line..... After a few seconds of the nauseaus feeling that this one was destined to get away, I saw him come to the surface and his tail gave a slap, he was out of gas for the moment...... So I tightened the drag and pulled in with the rod then reeling in the slack, and so on for another minute until he was back in the pond and I could ease the drag back in case in a burst of energy he would simply snap the line. He did indeed get a second wind and we fought for another 5 minutes before I was able to get him close enough to the shore to reach down and grab him by the scruff of the neck, weigh him, take his photo, give him a tummy rub and a pat on the head and set him back in the water. My forearms were quite tired and I was a bit overheated so I zipped down my winter jacket (it was about -7C), but it had been an exhilarating experience, one I likely would not have had if I had 25lb braided line. The fishie was a bit tired, too, for he just treaded water in a foot of water at my feet, until he gave a few relaxed sweeps of his tail and disappeared from view.

Dude. That's the legimate epitome of wrong gear. You're doing it for a fight & the fish are getting away with your hooks or 300ft of line, as you described hahaha. Use braided line. Can get more on the reel too.

@@m1cklife168 "You're doing it for a fight & the fish are getting away with your hooks or 300ft of line, as you described hahaha." except no where did I say the fish got away with either line or hooks. You are not a particularly smart person, are you? You can't even fuckin read.
Where is this documentary getting their information? I'm not even five minutes in and they think a pile is a slashing weapon (lmfao, no) and have the completely wrong age caps for the fish.
Commercial every 3 minutes, come on man 😅
