Yo Jerimia, I just got back form staying with Emerson for a week.. We did GREAT! My son and I came home with 13 Martin, 4 fishers, and 1 white weasel. I couldn't imagine a better trip to Maine. Wish we had woods like that here in PA. Just watching your videos had us ready to go. Thank you so much! Steve Shaffer

I know first hand how much an area changes when it's been clearcut. I was away in the Armed Forces for over 27 years, when I returned and started looking for my old fishing spots, many had 30 years of new growth, areas that were mature forests had been cut sometimes with 15 plus years of replanted tree growth. Finding the old land marks we once used to find the trails, were impossible.

Hey man. Love your content. I know you are a bit disappointed with the logging & that's understandable. But also remember that lots of trappers will never get to trap anything as beautiful as what you have left. So although upsetting, don't forget you're still blessed to have what you have. I'd do anything for it. All the best brother.

I’m not from the US (Scandinavian), so I am wondering if this is your land, public land, do you have an agreement with the ovner of the land or how do you get the permission to trap here? I understand the rules are very different from my country. And btw, I really like your channel, and the way you present it.

Thanks Lee! This is all private industrial timberland with a long tradition of open public access for recreation. We do have to pay gate fees to get into certain areas. There is very little public land in maine.

Not a city here, but a lot of it will be a monoculture of spruce with a road every mile.
