    Hi bud, In hindsight I wish I would have covered this in this video but we are listening and hopefully we've started to address this in our more recent videos since Old Mill, We've got an in depth piece on rigs and terminal in our East Delph video. Thank you for the feedback and hopefully you keep enjoying the content :) all the best.

    Hi Kevin, I know we said all the way through we’d do it, but something I never mentioned is the day after my drone crashed my camera also gave up so some of the footage towards the end was shot on iPhones and go pros! Now I’ve mentioned it you’ll probably notice lol, but we had intentions to film rigs but never got the chance so I assure you well film the rigs in one of our next videos because we use the same ones where ever we go so we’ll get a rig video out 👍🏻💪🏻

    Cheers buddy! Appreciate the comments and the sub 💙 I’m certainly in no position to give advice on old mill we’ve only been once lol, but the bailif did mention on both willow and oak that pop ups don’t often work, and we certainly found that on willow, we tried and never caught on pop ups.... I’m not saying they won’t work I’ve only been once lol but just something the bailiff said to us, and if I can help you out fella 👍🏻 best of luck mate!

    @@NorthernCarpDiaries appreciate the advice man, I was planning on using a ronnie with scent from hell and the booster on one rod, and a snow man on the other but ill definitely be trying a few tactics thats for sure it'll be my first time there aswell. Birch is where its at but its extremely hard apparently

  • @NorthernCarpDiaries

    @NorthernCarpDiaries

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes mate, I tried Ronnie’s and a similar pop up presentation and it didn’t work, although as a group we did really well on hi viz wafters in solid bags where I did some fish on snowman’s so it’s hard to see why pop ups wouldn’t work? But it’s just what we found! Yeah mate birch looks like an incredible place! During our week stay on willow I think 4 fish came out on birch! And it was rammed all week too! So It’s certainly not easy although I’d love to do a video on there in the future, but watching a video where we blank won’t be much fun 🤣

    @@NorthernCarpDiaries ill give it all a go man, sometimes just bottom bait with a few freebies is the way forward. And yeah definitely with a decent chance at having a 50+ out its got to be worth a go haha.

  • @NorthernCarpDiaries

    @NorthernCarpDiaries

    3 жыл бұрын

    That’s the one mate, Matty took most of his fish on just bottom baits to be fair, in an era where everyone’s using pop ups and wafters... being different is sometimes and edge in pressures venues 👍🏻 Best of luck on oak fella! Let us know how you get on! And hopefully we can return and get a film on birch one day! 👍🏻

    Hi Lads, did you fishing using the trent baits that's offered on sight or take your own boilies and wafters etc?

  • @NorthernCarpDiaries

    @NorthernCarpDiaries

    2 жыл бұрын

    Afternoon bud, we took our own bait with us, we honestly didn’t know that old mill stocked any bait on site as it was our first ever time here, we used a mixture between us but I solely used sticky baits for my boilies and 85% of wafters and hookbaits are also from the sticky range. 👍🏻

    Props and Cosplay, I know, I do apologise, it was scheduled to be filmed towards the end of the week where the weather was a bit better to be outside and run through everything with rigs and bait but the main camera broke and I didn't want to reduce the quality by filming a whole rig segment on my iPhone, although hopefully its something we've tried to do more of in the "Yateley Video" and the will include in the videos moving forward, so genuinely thank you for the feedback! we'll certainly take it away and add it into future content! stay safe.

    How did you manage to get away with using your own Mats

  • @NorthernCarpDiaries

    @NorthernCarpDiaries

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Chris, We didn’t, they had two on site Trakker mats exclusive to Old Mill, which we were kindly allowed to use in the filming as opposed to the other branded ones, given the brand affiliation that we have towards the Aqua, Trakker, Cygnet group so we kindly accepted the use of these mats just for filming purposes.
