Northam, Western Australia, approximately 40mm of rain fell in half an hour, causing flash flooding, on Tuesday night 2 March 2021.

    Well done. I remember that day well. I was out on my front veranda pushing water away from my front door with a wide broom. Then it just got so much I had to dig a trench just outside my fence line to divert. After that flood had subsided we had at least a month to six weeks of summer-like weather again and everything in the garden just exploded. Our Mulberry tree went into full bloom again and bore fruit in May. Never seen that before ever. Northam seems to cop floods like that in 10 year cycles. Those bird strikes were no doubt from those squawking white cockatoos that are always in plague proportion nowadays...
