Excellent video, I last saw the mill 15 years ago and it was almost falling down. I looks great now as does the work along the canal. Hope the EA allows the trust to refill it.
I understand the EA's concerns but as a government agency it would be nice to think that they would actively assist as best they can with this historically relevant venture rather than, as it seems, being a hindrance and btw, when I first found your channel and your vlogs on the BCN I did think you were a rather posh sounding Brummie so the revelation that you came from the East was of no surprise.

Ah !! A fellow bog trotter ! Haya orroight ? The Haddiscoe Cut is a canal, dug to link two rivers (Yare & Waveney) and bypass the route towards Great Yarmouth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haddiscoe_Cut

this was really interesting, any idea how much it is going to cost to get the canal finished? i bought a lottery ticket, so here's hoping! :-)

Its never cheap, but as restorations go its pretty straight forward. The lock at Ebridge needs bottom gates and the next two chambers down at Briggate and Dilham are in good condition. There are no dropped bridges between the restored section and the Broads so a reasonable win would be enough!
