Notre Dame won its first ACC Basketball Tournament Championship with a 90-82 victory over North Carolina. This is also the Fighting Irish's first basketball tournament championship in any conference. Jerrian Grant was named tournament MVP, and he scored 24 points and dished out 10 assists in the championship game. Pat Connaughton added 20 points and four rebounds for Notre Dame, and Zach August had 16 points and 13 rebounds. For North Carolina Marcus Paige led the way with 24 points and five assists. Brice Johnson added 20 points for the Tar Heels. This was UNC's fourth trip to the ACC Championship game in the last five years.
