North American Arms Sidewinder - NAA .22 Magnum benchtop review

Just a quick look at the NAA (North American Arms) Sidewinder. This one is an easy loader compared to most other NAAs. Thanks for watching!

The Recoil sheild ("Ears") is a safety feature present on most revolvers to prevent injury of the hand in the unlikely event of a chain fire. The Sidewinder is the only NAA revolver to have it. It's important to note that NAA states that one should never use Armscor or PMC ammo in thier revolver due to previous reports of chain fire with these brands.

Btw!!!! The NAA Sidewinder is the hardest to find, as well a finest built micro handgun ever produced. I see them bringing $1500-$2000 in the future. Built like a true swiss watch. Another thing I love is the materials NAA used. Stainless steel and wood won't rust. Perfect to carry while fishing!

@@elder1144 I worked at Sportsman's Warehouse behind their gun counter part time. Never saw any sidewinder's just the standard .33. They have gotten a few H&K SP5 and SP5K which were impossible to find at retail during Covid. Did manage to score a super cheap but actually decent quality Rock Island .38 special for $70 otd. Was a steal

I love these little NAA guns! They are beautifully built and so easy to throw in a pocket. With the safety notch system I feel very comfortable carrying it in my pocket without a holster. I have a Pug and a Ranger II. Is .22 mag a “great CCW cartridge?” No, it is not the best choice. However, when in athletic shorts going for a walk it still offers protection from a random sociopath or an unhinged loose dog. Make no mistake about it with Speer SB ammo I feel certain that well-placed 2-3 shots (with 2 in reserve) will effectively stop an attack.

The fact that NAA doesn't make a speedloader for this (or the Ranger) is a missed opportunity. I would really like to see the Pug/Black Widow/Mini Master, which I consider to be their actually more usable/premium line, get the swing out cylinder/top break treatment

@@2fast2block yeah they're really fun to shoot, hers is fairly accurate as well but one problem she's had after a few weeks of having it is the rear sight screw kept coming loose and after tightening it back up so many times the very very tiny Allen screw stripped out and we had some trouble finding a replacement screw but it's still fun play with either way.
