@@Karaveba1 you are complaining about a fantasy show. Vikings: Valhalla should not be considered a historical series in any way. There are plenty of things that are wildly inaccurate about that show, most of it far worse than a single fictional black character in a fictional place in Norway

btw. this frame is badly cropped. it should start about half a second later. you can see that the women stands (like a mannequin) motionless for a split second before she starts screaming.

Can't wait to recreate Kattegat from Vikings in this game.

While much of it does look great, and in the same vein as The Northman, there are still some inconsistencies and false TV show designs. One major example being the shaved head with braid ponytail and tattoos. Other than that, this looks far better than most other popular media.

What makes this game even better is that the story was written by my favorite Viking fiction author named Giles Kristian. This looks incredibly historically accurate, and even better than AC Valhalla.

@@nuketeacup it was historically accurate. Locations, buildings were based on archaeological sights, battles and more. If you’re referring to fiction characters in the game or the poor brother of christ then of course not because they’re fiction in the series. Apart from those in the story, the game was accurate.

An XCOM turn-based game set in one of my favorite time periods, with settlement management/building, alliances AND a solid story (potentially) to back it? Assassins Creed: Valhalla was one of my favorite times with a game, not necessarily because of the execution of the game, but the concept. Forging alliances, building up your community and feeling that rush as you storm castle gates awaiting Valhalla. XCOM 2 was also one of my favorite times with a game. Love those games. Hopefully this is the best of both worlds! Looking forward to it!

Apart from some hairstyles and facial tattoos,, this might be the most accurate depiction of Norse material culture I've seen in a video game. Compare this to to AC: Valhalla and the difference is mad! Animations looks nice too. I'm excited for sure

​@@Megadino-gj3zn Not even a little bit, Vikings did not have tattoos, wear pelts, have dreads or top knots etc. A viking would've wore a tunic with a woolen cape, had long natural hair (or short) and wore lots of jewelery. The Anglo-Saxons in Valhalla were more accurate than the Norse, the Norse would've dressed similarly to them

A game about the Norse not made by Americans? Bah. WHERE ARE THE 1960s LEATHER VESTS? When in doubt - leather. We need more BDSM gear. We need more 2000s tribal tattoos. We need more gyno men on anabolic steroids. We need more dirt and medieval filter. We need less color. And of course, we need everyone wearing identical scale or mail armor that they could definitely afford, but only when the plot calls for it. Count me in. Everything looks great, especially mocap, clothes and texture details. Cant wait for this.

Yes cool, looks great, but Norway? Again? When is Denmark or Sweden in the spotlight during the Viking Age? Denmark was waaay more powerful than Norway during the Viking Age, more reputation and much more, but why is it always Norway? Yes, the devs might come from Norway, and that is probably why the game is set in Norway, but come on. It feels like so many developers are all Americans who know nothing about history, and just know that "Norway = Vikings". There, can't go wrong with that right? Game looks cool though.
