Blinds to Go has them but very expensive. If I removed my vertical vanes and clipped these in, would it work? I have 7 inches space in the front of the track. Can you send me a couple of samples to see if it would work?

I can't answer that exactly for you, but people are going much taller and wider now to completely clear the window, making it more like a real drape type application.

Will the blinds become out of shape after washing in a washing machine ?

yes absolutely

But can we open them in the middle and part equally on each side like a traverse rod? If not that is major downfall. Most want to go side to side and open the middle left to right for French or side overhang.

there ARE Room Darkening Fabrics now, but you've got great privacy even with the LF fabrics.

I have seen them in blinds to go but they are so expensive. I want to use these as a substitute to my vertical blinds, which keep breaking every time it is shaken by the wind. Would it work?
