Every now and then I need to hear Norman Finkelstein (and Noam Chomsky) speak on the Palestine/Israeli conflict in order to restore my sanity.

Whose library?. Research is best done with first source evidence, not that written in books., ( although references can lead to first source msterial) Norman is at best a postulator.
Most underrated scholar in the world
He says he's not a great mind. But I see a great mind. He literally quotes all these meticulous details from his mind. And very accurately if you go and check from the sources. Not many can do that. He is one of his kind. His way of presenting it all is so beautiful.

Forensic research? Genocide, open air prison, etc , incendiary words are not evidence of forensic study.
I love that man. There’s a reason why the MSM never mentions him.
Norman Finkelstein’s unfailing attention to detail is extraordinary and heroic.
What a beautiful man! How much better this world would be if we could all be more like him?
I have met him twice. He is a great human being, a true voice for justice.

Cool
The brilliance of Professor Finkelstein's discourse always makes my jaw drop.
When we have a guest who has literally given their life to a subject and been marginalized for their work, we should endeavour to give them a fitting introduction. If our current generation produces intellectuals half as capable as Finklestein and Chomsky, we can consider ourselves very lucky indeed. Thank you gentlemen, for bringing us this interview.

I love you Norman Finkelstein. As a South African born of almost 80 years of age I am convinced that your words touch the hearts of fair minded Judaic Jews The word homeland was a derogatory term in S A. Leads one to the idiotic moronic thinking of some politicians. The Jews homeland is the world for God’s sake. Leave the holy land to the peaceful Abrahamic faiths and indeed all other faiths or none who wish yo pay their respects. By the way Jews played a huge roll in my non white school upbringing. Respect begets Respect! The Israeli prime minister’s body language is a disgrace to the Great Prophet Musa (Moses) AS. Peace be upon him. Salam Shalom to all.

@@hamonryechinaski180 Everyone knows how Alan Dershowitz silenced him using his position of privilege however, unfortunately a lot of people don't know that he was still publicly speaking after that. His public engagements were affected because of the narrow mindedness of the BDS movement and I am saying that as a strong supporter of Palestinian liberation. Norman has been on record saying he supports BDS as a tactic and has boycotted Israel himself. However, he had a difference of opinion with the political platform of BDS on strategy. Instead of agreeing to disagree and still valuing his expertise, they threw him under the bus. That's an extremely toxic trait in the Palestinian solidarity movement. This man has dedicated his life to a cause and suffered the loss of his career and reputation because of it without once complaining and the youngsters of BDS didn't have the basic tolerance to accept that there will and should be certain diverging opinions in a solidarity movement. Until such puritanical litmus tests are thrust on people who've sacrificed for their principles and have been one of the first people in the US to speak against Israel at a time when it was virtually unheard of and resulted in death threats, unfortunately nothing positive can be achieved. They lost their most powerful, vocal and informed supporter because of their intolerance and self righteous, ego.

Absolutely
Prof. Finkelstein's remarks to not fall into the "trap" of talking about vague terms like 'Zionism' or 'semitism', but instead about concrete issues , like the discrimination of non-jewish citizens in Israel or the Israely war crimes, crimes against humanity and the ILLEGAL occupation, is much more effective to combat those crimes. Also get the ICC to judge and confirm that Israel is a rogue apartheid state that also Illegally occupies Palestinian territory and killed unarmed protesters, journalists, medics and children, will definitely do justice.
Having prof. Finklestein as a guess on your podcast is a testament to the honesty and intellectual integrity of your podcast and its host. I will definitely contribute what I can to your podcast and order his new book today. I have read all of his books.

@@asiyasparkles He does use humor as a tool to get some of his points across and to keep people's attention perhaps. It's more a sardonic humor which I found effective and also a psychological break from if he strictly just talked about such grim issues with no areas of relief as the subject matter I do agree with you is very serious. I feel he still addressed it well as he usually does and the bits of humour here and there didn't impede the message but perhaps kept the attention of more people than if he hadn't included it.

and there are some like Norman who fight against these injustices at great personal cost. He threw an extremely promising career down the drain when he chose to stand by his principles (and the truth) ! I've been an ardent follower for almost 15 years. I can think of no deeper praise or thanks than to say that I deeply wish & pray for him to become my brother in Islam. If you are secure in your faith, and truly feel its sweetness & believe it to be a beautiful thing, then you should want others to share in it (like I told my Anglican priest chaplain friend, telling him that I do not take offense at him wanting this for me & rather that I would question his faith if he didn't!!!)

I think it is to do with the culture or religion that makes the people believe that they're superior to others and that makes them unkind to others. People growing up into such environment naturally imbibe the qualities of being unkind to others. Therefore perpetuating the hostility.

Subhan Allah, i think the terrible thing about the alleged courts of justice is that anything barr justice is served in them. The eyes see - yet it is not enough, the heart feels, this is discounted, the rights and wrongs are apparent- but not in a court of law. That makes the whole issue of law to be [judicial whispers...]. .. It is a fallacy to imagine that true justice can ever be served in a court of law. =(
