My Bubblegum is so leggy, it’s taller than my Crassula Ovata😂
I've been wondering if some plants normally had the 'leggy' look. I did some searching but couldn't find everything I was looking for. Some I did find info on look quite pretty good leggy, so now I have plants growing in both forms.

Hey Liz, thank you very much for your videos. It’s nice to see you out enjoying your garden again. It’s such a great way to clear your mind and be present with what you’re doing. I’m a relatively new succulent collector in a chilly part of Melbourne & we’ve been having frosts & extremely low temps. Mine are at the edges of my pergola so some are slightly protected over head but others are completely exposed. I can see that I need to water but I’m a bit worried about watering while it’s so cold. Any tips? Should I, shouldn’t I? Sorry for the essay 💚

I'm on the same boat with watering. I haven't watered for a while and waited till we had rain in the afternoon a couple of days ago. I put out the aeoniums in the rain and left it that night. The next morning.... there was frost. 😭 A couple died but the rest will recover. Aeoniums should really be grown indoors or in a heated glass house. Now I'm waiting for forecast to go 1°C to above before I water the rest. The echeveria with thick leaves can be left outside but the thin leaf ones should be brought inside or at least covered. I have a 3-part video from my other channel that shows different locations and which succulents can handle the frost. Below is a link to Part 1. Hope this helps. @@GrowingSucculentswithLizK thank you for your reply. I’ll check the videos out. It’s hard to know whether to water or not. My mix is very free draining. I’ve been doing some thinning out of crowded established cuttings & soil has been dry. Maybe I should just water a little with seaweed solution so they’re getting something. Most are doing ok but some I can see are slightly affected by the frosts. Only a few have been significantly affected. We got a little sun early this morning but overcast for the remainder of the day. Even if it’s cold but the the sun comes out it’s better than overcast & cold. My aeoniums are only babies but they’re all under the pergola so might not be happy but will survive lol. Keep warm 🙂
Thanks teacher. Learned even more from you today about legginess to put into my memory banks. So will that Jocelyn Ainsworth echeveria at 4:09 grow babies on the stems?

No guarantee, but it can. I will do that at the end of winter to get it ready for spring growth. 🥰
