His porpoise joke with Jean Jacque has to be the longest set up ever.

To have quietly fought cancer for near 10 years, and never say a word, truly a Norm thing to do. He was about the comedy and didn’t want the comedy to ever be a cover for the illness. The clips of him with the bloated face is him undergoing chemo, my sister’s face looked the same. He didn’t need to be so dignified, we could have fought this together. We could have been his obnoxious cheerleaders.

Not only was he a great comedian, he was a DIFFERENT comedian. Nobody has been more casually funny without even having to tell standard jokes or punchlines than Norm Macdonald...look at any interview video where he is with other comedians (Seinfeld, Letterman, Howard Stern...etc) and he has them doubled over with laughter. Not necessarily bc of what he says but HOW he says it.. incredible.. He'll be missed.

that "alchaholics anonomous" bit is the greatest. "none of your beezwax" lol. Norm made so many people laugh, he was loved for his mischief and his wisdom, a unicorn of comedy. RIP

I researched it and Norm died from acute leukemia, which has a survival rate of 27% within 5 years of diagnosis for people over 20. Norm lived 9 years after diagnosis. While Norm was a heroic fighter, battling a great disease which is almost as bad as alcoholism when you look at the symptoms, I can't justify the man's hypocrisy, which is really the worst part of his death. RIP Norm.

Similar situation here, except I'm starting to feel a little guilty about the guy circling the grocery store lot looking for a parking space for the last 15 min while I have been watching this and laughing. But I think if he knew what I was watching he would understand.

"I walked through blood n bones, in the streets of new York, tryin to find my brother. He was in northern Canada" Then you hear Nick laugh inside his mug as he's taking a sip haha

“Someone gotta feed them hogs” the subtlety of that line always kills me😂😂. Used the end of his joke also as a transition which somehow made it funnier. Dude. Norm was one of a kind.

@@thegreatgamelord8640 it’s the delivery. He’s so casual with it and it’s such a stupid concept that his delivery just makes me laugh. Norm can have some of the most clever jokes but can also pull a stupid concept and make it hilarious simply with how he delivers it.

I love how the funniest parts of his jokes are usually whatever he mutters under his breath.

Never knew this guy existed up until a few days ago, not gonna act like i did. He was absolutely comedic gold though, i’ve enjoyed looking up his content, glad he brought so many laughs and smiles in his lifetime!

Can’t believe my favorite comedian is gone. I knew he was dealing with something behind the scenes but had no idea. Dude was fearless in the face of death and never stopped being the funniest man that ever lived. Something to live by, Norm Macdonald will forever be my biggest inspiration in life

I have tears rolling down my cheeks as I type this. That Alcoholics Anonymous segment is one of the most perfect snippets of stand-up I think I’ve ever heard. I’ve just about calmed down from the fits of laughter it drew out of me. Thanks Norm.

The loudest and hardest laugh I have had in the last year was Norm’s Polish joke. Even knowing something was coming, his delivery was hilarious. RIP, Norm.

I was dying laughing! Comedians are supposed to be funny... they aren’t supposed to be politically correct. It’s gawd awful watching SNL now. Norm is amazing he could read a the room in the 90s. Called out Jackson and Bill Clinton in their prime!

Rest in peace brother. You gave me some of the best memories of my early life, sharing laughs with my dad at your jokes. I will always treasure the smiles you gave us.
