The musicality of the legion is outrageous. They can play play. Alot of good writing in the arrangements. Woowee!! They are not just trying to play loud. They are playing the music given very well. I'm hearing a lot of good stuff. Let's go Legion!!!!!

They sound like a moving studio band to be honest. Their voicing between trumpets and euphonium is a lesson in arranging and counterpoint.

SWAC bands lives in their own world. ... anytime they meet another HBCU band outside the division = its hilarious I have said it for years now... SWAC schools think they are 𝒷𝓁𝒶𝒸𝓀 𝑒𝓍𝒸𝑒𝓁𝓁𝑒𝓃𝒸𝑒 until they meet it because nobody is counting how many tubas you got... those bands are entertaining because they do get petty with the competition = but that division is the 'blueface and chrisean' of HBCU. lots of eyeballs for the drama. SWAC is just popularity even JSU football team was all drama and ride it to $$ cashville

Those clean runs and little jazzy sounding licks at the drill will make you want to cry. The Legion is the truth. I dare another HBCU to outplay them. You have my respect. There are a few other HBCUs within 2 hours and i would imagine this is going to make it mighty difficult for the best band talent to bypass NSU for your band lol.

Take FAMU and Pine Bluff out the SWAC and put Norfolk and Tenn State in…. Norfolk is an Extremely underrated band program and Not talked about enough and my opinion!

Oh yes! This is an elite, disciplined, professional organization! The clean marching technique, the seriousness of purpose, the phenomenal execution of every arrangement. There wasn’t a weak moment during this performance. Simply outstanding.

Overall good to see Kev doing his thing again! Thankful for your healthy recovery and continued service to marching band programs nationwide. AEA!

All my people went to southern so naturally im a Human Jukebox fan my whole life but I got to give it to them. Especially their drum section.

Norfolk State and Southern University are both of my favorite bands.

From a former marching 100 rattler, hats off to that trumpet section, amazing job on that first tune, unfortunately I don't the name. Very clean sound, the articulation was awesome.

Norfolk sounds like a recording. They sound incredible on my Ultra HD system-excellent dynamics and balance.

Great band. Hot Ice is a good dance group, but I don't think fits the NSU style. This is a rigid and militaristic style band. They can really play. I'd like to see a head to head between them and SU. Definitely the best playing HBCU band on the east coast. Their drummers (MDFS) are likely the best drum group amongst HBCU's.

Not just amongst HBCU's. There's a guy who is an awesome and well respected percussionist who put MDFS's tenor section at #1 for this top 10 tenor solos of all time. This includes drum corps and PWI tenor lines.
