Nice Yacht. I liked the looks of the 2016 "The second Nordhavn 96", more. because of the way the bridge windows wrapped around a bit more. But they are both awesome.

This is one beautiful boat/ship. I had an 83' boat I lived aboard for 10yrs cruising the CA/Mexico/Alaska coastline. This sure would be a great boat to get back on the water with. Lord help me find a way...

From what I got is, this is used for charters or persons that are not on board often. I see a safety/ info manual on each of the 4 births. Great thing because at sea everyone is part of the crew and all need to be part of any situation that may arise to bring you all home safely. #LoveSafetyFirst at sea. Love the Nordhavn, Love them all.

Great Yacht. All it's missing is a diesel electric podded drive system. I always wondered why Nordhavn hasn't upgraded their design to electric podded drives.

Reliability would be my guess. The simpler the system the less likely it is to have issues, also the simpler to repair when you're in the middle of nowhere.

How sea worth is this boat with the large windows is this boat a fair weather boat? Just asking because I heard windows need to be under 2’ x 2’ because it limits the boat to small waves 🌊?

Why is the twin bed stateroom where it is and the "obstructed:" guest stateroom where it is? Can't they switch the two,so the VIP guest gets a queen bed, whereas the kids who'd normally be in a twin stateroom can sleep under the obstructions?

  • @bobgiles66

The lower starboard and port staterooms each convert from King to twins. Takes less than 10 minutes the forward lower stateroom is a queen

nice BUT. 40k in fuel, 20k in supplies and extra parts. and 4000 nm. If you are not a diesel mechanic, then you need a good captain engineer/mate. 70k year. So 100k a year and you are good to go 4000 nm a pop. If you do 5kn then you might get 5000nm. might. Most port tidal currents especially on the Pacific coast are 6-9 knots.

I would just love to have someone be kind enough to donate something like this to me to use as my home. I'm capable of cleaning the hull and fill the tank and captain it myself and travel around the world. I'm 62 and will never be able to do something like that before I die. No ones that nice especially wealthy people. I would make it a retirement home so us over 62 could travel before we die. They could even take a huge Tax writ off.

Tony Gariepy another tour video of the boat exists on KZread. It’s amateur, and has shaky video but has the narration you seek plus it tours the engine room and crew quarters. The chef gives the tour. Just search Nordhavn 96 and you will see it. I enjoyed both videos.

Beautiful yacht......I do not like the sort of old fartsy style.( that is not an insult to the old farts as I am one myself)....meaning the interior is glossy were you think you are going to slip and slide any second. ,has round edges and looks like you are walking into a lawyers office. Not sure if you know what I mean ? having said that this interior is nothing like it....it has a matte finish ,great lines ,but yet very modern looking......just totally beautiful. I love the ceilings.....very nicely done matching with the furniture .......the only thing I would criticize is the lack of more windows in the staterooms....however it could be because the shades were pulled and therefore no windows are visible. Thank you for showing a great yacht and nice video !!!!

The Nordhaven 120 My Aurora is much prettier. The wood in this is a bit dark, the galley with all white is not pretty. I think the outside needs more Windows to look prettier. Too much white. Thanks for sharing.

This is a beautiful boat - and Covid has made me consider the investment. But . . . I have always thought that people on a long voyage needed more separation than the average modern yacht allows. I would prefer a min-suite model (4-5 suites with full bedroom, head and LR) where the “common areas” were dedicated to “common activities”: drinking, dancing, exercise, movies, etc. instead of having so much space being consumed by GIANT LIVING ROOMS/LOUNGING areas. Some day someone will design such a ship and I will buy her.

I'm mystified by the stacked duplication of amenities that constitute the yacht formula. I assume it enhances a yacht's charter appeal and resale value. You and I need customization in the yard or an all-out bespoke build. My ideal for long voyages requires every adult stateroom have a comfortable desk, armchair & ottoman, settee, and coffee table than raises enough for breakfast or a tea-time getaway. Each would need enough floor and air space to avoid claustrophobia, and large portholes or windows. I can do without the upper deck lounge and outside dining area with barbeque, since the sundeck/flybridge duplicates them. On this yacht, that would mean a suite on upper and main decks, and two below. A suite could be replaced with a bunk and play room for kids. If its too confined below deck for the youngsters, I'd put them on the upper deck, and enclose the stairs for soundproofing. I think this would allow everyone to conclude a long cruise with affections and sanity intact.

While actually stunning a little disappointed. It started as if a 5 star furniture ad instead of a yacht tour. In jumping to closeups of the decor you miss actual quarters and flow of the vessel. Very interested in your line, but would rather see the actual yacht than its fine decor you presented. Sorry.

Time marker 2:50. Disgusting ! Not sure why anyone would film a boat like this with Fly Swatters visible, even worse they are in the kitchen... even worse than that they are right along side food prep untensils.....and the absolute "Even Worse yet" they appear to be touching the edges of the knives. If you think of the mechanics of how they were placed on the mag stripes then you know the Kill Zone of those insect assassinators smeared the business end of those butcher blades. Yes, they are indeed two yellow Fly Swatter snuggled up close and comfy to the other knives on that Mag holder. One can also make several assumptions as well since the Bug Busters are sitting over the top of the knives that they were used last and then place on top of clean knives since it wold be rather difficult and awkward to sneak the knives in underneath the swatters. by the looks of the swatters with the bent up wire frames they have been used and used frequently an lastly, you know they are filthy with bug guts because no one ever washes a fly swatter. And the OCD person that does wash fly swatters after use is definitely NOT hanging them up to dry next to his kitchen knives.
