Peter Which is more seakind a 68 Norhavn or a 78 Riviera? Trawler vs planing hull.. any thoughts?

Both built for very different scenarios. If I couldn’t outrun the heavy weather in a fast Riviera then I’d prefer to ride it out in the Nordhavn. 😜

I'm very curious about how much a boat like this might cost.

2011 $3.6M so probably with full options 5.5 to $6m

What annoys me about Nordhavn is they do not give fuel figures on all their yachts, So much times wasted looking for data that other people have done when in fact the manufactures should give average figures and max range, and state outright how many cabins how many berths and where else friends can sleep i.e. Lounge sofa bed or helm sofa etc.. I am looking at Nordhavn and Kadey-Krogan, each has an advantage on each other, but Nordhavn is slightly more modern looking in finish. I would try not to have any wood trim on deck too much work. Here is what I found so far @7KN she'll go 3024NM with 10% reserve and @8KN she'll go 2369NM, Cruise Speed is 9KN and Top Speed is 10KN, I'd still like to know what she can do at 4KN,5KN,6KN, all the way to 10KN.
