Dude, I was listening to this demo on my way home on my little bluetooth speaker; I was absolutely blown away at the quality that was popping out of it. From that surprising output, I'd definitely say that keyboard is worth those thousands!

That seamless transition is awesome actually.

I'm listening through my headset, and the stereo sound is mind-blowing. If this is how it sounds when you plug a headset directly into the keyboard, wow!

This keyboard is a blast to play. Saw it at guitar center and could not stop playing it. The key action is great and I like that the keys are a little longer then most keyboards

WOW! Just stumbled to this presentation of the Nord Stage 3, beautifully demonstrated by a brilliant pianist Joel Lyssarides. I was just about to order the Nord Piano 5 / 88 but this amazing super demonstration by Joel blow me away. The only thing I'm very much disappointed with Nord is the fact that the warrantee is only 1 year in comparison to other brands such as Yamaha, Kawai, Roland and many other which vary from 3 to 5 years warrantee. Well done Nord and Joel for this brilliant demo and I very much hope my genuine comment about your warrantee towards your beautiful product will resonate and some action is taken about it :( Thank you kindly

It's just a matter of latency. VST are cheap and already very good. Wait cpu performance increased more like in 20 years. Go 20 years in the past, computers were so bad. This piano is very good for live music and mobility. I desagree. Vst will destroy this little piano in the future. But we'll still love it because we love music.

IKR??? whoa........I am a classical pianist with a high degree of training and technique, but just discovering synths not as a listener but wanting to learn how to play one. This might be the upgrade for getting a new digital piano AND a synth, too.

Yes, songlist mode and seamless transitions at last. Worth upgrading just for that. But unfortunately still only a very basic one oscillator one lfo synth as far as I can tell. Still it seems to sound better then the stage 2 synth.

Mark Farrelly it's a single oscillator but being a VA synth it's a "smart oscillator" that can actually be made of several oscillators for detuning, sync, phase offset, and unison detuning. Plus you have slots A and B that can be layered and split. So you actually have all of this x2 per patch. So you really can still get the huge poly synth sounds

They don't really compare. The Nord lets you load new samples, and it sounds very nice. The organ and synth are better than Roland. But the Roland has V-Piano technology, much better polyphony, more on-board sounds and a better action. Also, the Roland is half the price.

I'm saving my money to buy one, it sounds awesome.

Just knowing however that it's going to be replaced in 3-4 years with the Nord stage 3 EX is enough to swerve myself off into buying something more timeless, and I expect other customers too, if they brought out one say every 8-10 years it would make it more of a worthy purchase.
