Part of my loves working in the chemical industry. We have processes that require machines that are as big as buildings. It's mostly pipes and valves and compressed air and vacuum lines and diaphragms and shit. These huge towers are so old that there's no one left alive in the industry that fully understands them. There might be some retirees but that's it and only if you're lucky. They still output perfectly fine product in large enough amounts and replacing them and updating them would be prohibitively expensive. So when something breaks, you can bust out the schematics, sure. Problem is there's been so many modifications and jerry-rigs throughout the decades that the schematics are not always reliable. So i'll find myself up in the tower with a team in hazmat gear (the chemicals we work with are lethal if inhaled, or if they contact skin in large enough amounts) trying to find that one fucking hose or some arcane fucking component to hunt down the specific problem. If a component cannot be repaired, there's no replacement parts. So we send it off to our machine shop and they reverse-engineer it and build a new one if they haven't already done that at some point in the past. Yeah, I get it. A machine bigger than most houses. With multiple walkways and ladders and access points that no one fully understands. Different monitoring systems that somehow manage to communicate with a central control room (which is reinforced and can hermetically seal itself in the event of a fume release or explosion) it certainly deserves a sense of reverence. I dunno if this will fix the problem but fuck it whack it with a wrench first and see if anything happens. Hell you should see our LDAR (leak detection and repair) techs. Hazmat gear and a sniffer probe on one arm to check gaskets for the most minute of leaks. a screen strapped to the other arm to display what the probe is picking up. And a backpack that contains the equipment needed to run the probe and to repair and replace things. Looks like a fucking techpriest sans robes.

@@LNgKhoi Yep, thats why this sounds "more" than a lot of other stuff. You cannot really fake a real organ because the device is so complex, thousands of interlocking parts working in cohesion, that every minute detail changes what it sounds and gives it a unmistakable and very "alive" sound. Which, interestingly enough, makes the organ a very fitting instrument to use for the Mechanicum. An intrument that is a machine the size of a cathdral, literally IS the cathedral, (what is often frogotten is that the pipes and mechanism isn´t actually the whole organ, the whole building is part of it, working as the resonance body) build to celebrate a God.

The higher-ups know how most of the stuff works, but pushing the boundaries outside of STC patterns can be rather dangerous. An entire class of battleships was once lost because the cross section of its deck plan was a bit too close to a Chaos symbol.

@@Morrigi192 STCs really are a bit of a hit and miss tool honestly; for example some leman russ and even baneblade patterns only appear after every several thousand normal variants in a few forge worlds and their mechanicus overseers don’t know exactly how or why it happens, only that it does and they have no control over it

There is a way. It requires a few conveluted steps: (Keep in mind I only tested this with google chrome) 1. Open an incognito tab in a web browser 2. Open this video 3. Force desktop-mode (most good browsers have this under their browser options somewhere) 4. Tap and hold the video panel until you get the options for that video you would get on desktop 5. Click loop 6. Enjoy looping, background-playing music without having to pay youtube premium

@@vavra222 Well, Waterflame has a couple (not many) pretty serious soundtracks like Meltdown, Radioactive, Rupture and Invaders. Sad, epic, aggressive, the only ones I liked before finding this OST. But those surely wouldn't suit such a game, so while both are incredible, they are not to be compared

Ever since I have gotten really into 40K and the Adeptus Mechanicus as a result, I have, at times, unironically prayed and recited rites before testing a newly repaired machine. I even have a purity seal for my old PC. Though I may not ever see the day that transhumanism becomes commonplace, or accessible, I shall forever sing praises of the strength of steel, the turning of cogs, the whirring of mechanical joints, the hissing of hydraulics, the arcs of electrons, and the booming of combustion engines!

Had both my knees replaced last year with mechanical joints constructed from a titanium/ cobalt alloy. My journey begins😌

I so want a movie with admechs in it. All warhammer 40k fanfiction just seems to include spacemarienes all the time >_

The whole atmosphere of this game is amazing. I'm pretty new to the 40k universe but it made me a big fan of the Adeptus Mechanicus, it seems like the most probable future for humanity out of the 40k lore IMO. I just wish we had a few cut scenes like the intro with the amazing speech. For the machine is immortal! Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.

Final exam in programming. I have to write out the code on paper, no idea if it works, no idea if it would even compile if entered. I bs half the lines near the end and hope I can at least walk out of the class with a 'C'. I get an 'A'. The Omnissiah blessed me with wisdom that day.

Nice didn't notice that until you pointed it out. The creators probably intended something like that for the song it's pretty cool and adds another layer to the song
