Yes, I think if she could pick her own key, she'd choose a semitone or two higher so as to be able to sustain the "art" on the first "How great thou art". But it's still a remarkable rendition.

Truly remarkable how well Angelina, throughout her childhood, knows her range and what she is capable of. With that understanding, she uses her natural musical instincts to make the right vocal choices for a given song. A vocal coach said she sang this song in the same key as Elvis. Some have called Angelina the female Elvis, even though she doesn't have his trademark moves.

Many have claimed Angelina is a Contralto the lowest of the female voice type and quite rare. I'm no expert but I've heard that this was sung in the same octave that Elvis sang it in which may have been what inspired Angelina's rendition. This to me is Angelina practicing her craft, stretching her voice and experimenting with different styles of singing. Many of her best covers, I believe have come from this experimentation. 'I'd Rather Go Blind' may have been the result of this going full rasp and extended rifts. 'Love On the Brain' and 'Wicked Game' might also fit here as well as others. Angelina has been working hard on her craft and the results are the stunning dynamics we hear today.

Man, Angelina Jordan is on another level of talert. So you really have to consider how special this girls singing ability is. She can go low like that, yet keep the melody of the song. She's a musicasl genius man.

I think as a child Angelina sings all sorts of music and uses all her voices - just because she can, and she have fun! Other childs play with dolls and lego, Angelina plays with her voice.

She sings low for a woman/girl with hitting D3's and a single C3#. This is not low for a male voice. So that vocal coach might have been a little confused :-)

This girl's ability to hold and perform this low, low register is amazing by itself. At times, you can pick up the essence of Elvis doing this classic song, and to hear it from a female is beyond belief. She is the most versatile singer of different genres this planet has ever produced.

Today at 17, respected vocal coaches and musicians, see her singing voice as contralto (deepest singing voice for women). She takes us on an emotional journey through disappointment, heartache, and desperation in what many believe is one her top 5 songs. Incredible collaboration between the artists, writer and singer. Elvis deep in this particular one👍 You know, after 10 years of following Angelina I have come to look at these covers of hers as nothing more than her practicing really. With EVERY cover she has done through the years, she brings something different, as if she is emphasizing on one particular trait at a time. She has been very purposeful and determined. And we as her fans are just lucky that she and her grandmother chose to let us in on her "experiments". It feels strange to use expressions like "nothing more than" and "experiments" when describing her, but in hindsight that's how I feel when I close my eyes and picture her musical journey in my head. The difference between her singing voice and her childish speaking voice in the end is mindboggling!!

Angelina can make her vocal chords do any key she wants at any given time. She has total control over her vocals. Better than anyone Ive ever seen or heard.

When Angelina won Norway's got talent her mother refused any contracts and many of her early songs were done at home in front of a wall with a good microphone and someone playing the guitar. This was one of them. The video disappeared off of KZread and someone added the film you're now seeing and put it backup.. So the background is not original it's a fan added item. It Anguilla, a guitarist and a good mic. No fancy recording studio or tricks. She's just that good.

Another example of why you never get bored of Angelina. You think you know what she can do and then she shows another skill. Just last year I heard her open with A Labyrinth song at a jazz festival.. ..I mean Labyrinths MOUNT EVEREST. I thought what was that note she did there? What was that sound? She's doing that now? This song was in the same key and rich tone as the Elvis Presley version. I don't know how she maintained the rich control at the bottom of her her range. Most people don't realise how great her vocal range is she never shows it all in one song.

@@MugnifyRTS Elvis sang a lot of hymns. As a Kid he would stand outside the Black Church and listen to them sing. He loved the Music. Also one thing that Elvis never did was to write any songs. He was credited for help on a couple songs but mostly he just Sang Covers.

Perhaps your reaction to Angelina Jordan- I Have Nothing (Whitney Houston Tribute) she has several video performances out there of this cover, but I prefer the studio recording of her at age 12 I believe. I can't sing for nothing. I had a voice test done one time and the audiologist said I had the lowest voice for a female he has ever heard. In church when we sing I try to stay low so no one hears how low it is
