I like what you said about Angelina letting the song the song through her. Another way I look at it is that Angelina doesn’t ever really perform for us. She just sings like an angel and lets us listen. I know it’s been a while since you’ve been on Angelina, but if you do see this I’d love to hear your reaction to Elvis Presley‘s suspicious minds when she was about 16 or 15. If you do decide to watch it, watch a little bit of Elvis singing it live because it’s really cool how to see her take his song, honor him in the way she sings it, but still make it totally her own.

Would've been HUGE for a duet with George Beverly Shea, a Canuck/USAmerican singer who did this song often as the closing "hymn" for the broadcasts of the Billy Graham evangelical crusades.

FYI; Angelina's Grandmother originally uploaded (Angelina Jordan Fan Club Mosarz) this showing Angelina against a blank background, but then took it down within a day (no idea why). A fan managed to download it, add their own background video and repost. This is probably the lowest register she has ever sung, and seems like about the only time she looks like she is having to work at it a bit; maybe that is why she pulled it.

Hard to believe a 12 or 13 year old girl can sing in the same register as Elvis Presley, a male who was at least 20 years older than she is! She is from another planet, and you're just witnessed one of her 1,000 voices! She can sing any genre or cover any artist and adjust her voice to the proper vibe and still make it her own. Thank you for providing links to Angelina's original video and her Channel. A bit of encouragement to your viewers to like comment and subscribe to those links would be much appreciated and would help Angelina's algorithms in the same way they help yours. Thank you.

Thank you for another very perceptive reaction to my favourite singer. You have discovered something about Angelina which many other Reactors take a long to realise - and many never do - that Angelina "lives the song". I discovered her when her first audition performance of "Gloomy Sunday" - at Norway's Got Talent was uploaded to KZread and have watched every video since uploaded, many times. I can say with complete confidence that Angelina has never sung in a way which could lead to a person gaining the impression that she was saying "Look how good I am". You have a wonderful journey ahead of you, and I'll be there every step of the way

To most singers, it would be a challenging practice exercise to take this and try and sing it very low, very slow, and very vocally exposed. Angelina reveals her vast artistry when she does all that but also nods to the Elvis version in the key she chose, does it with her usual vocal touches like vibrato and respectful and impacting phrasing, and delivers itall in one take with her customary confidence.

Excellent reaction and Angelina does let the Song be what it was meant to be. The only thing she does is put in the Emotion it may be lacking, she don't worry about can I make this run, or sing this high note, it's all about the song and what it needs. She is the Top Master of doing this and that is why I call her the Queen of Jazz/Emotion/Covers. Has friend heard or seen any of Angelina videos? God Bless!

How was that one Daniel... nice reaction and comments.. With Angelina, the music always just flows from her...she does not sing songs she is the song. It is a very rare talent and this young lady here channeling her inner Elvis at age 13 is simply mind boggling. Hope you caught the little girl voice at the end when she say "Bye".... as one reactor put it...science has not confirmed that this is even possible. Hope to see more from you.

This one is not as much for listening pleasure as it is for wonderment at the rich, full quality of her lower register. And, as pointed out, she is singing in the same key and register as Elvis. A feat she even performs with Whitney "I Have nothing". It's really quite astounding what this girl can do. 😎

Thank Daniel, for that nice reaction to (12) Angie. She sang it in the same key as Elvis did it. Really love your quote. Me & others now will most likely use it. For it is so spot on. Angie is a master story tell, a master word smith. Here's a nice one to react to from Angie, please do. “Lovin' You” - Proysenfestivalen 21.07.2017 kzread.info/dash/bejne/i2iLssSmmsq7l5c.html Angie’s (11) “I Just Want To Make Love To You” originally written by Willie Dixon 1954 & covered by Muddy Waters & a lot of other big name blues singers also. Angie changed the lyrics & made it more age appropriate & also made it really awesome a bit modern style blues. I think this is Angie's opening song for her concert back then.

You are taking a unique route through Angelina's works. It usually takes a while for people to get to this one. Just as you said, she can tune her voice to any genre. That thing you pointed out at around 3:00 about her closing her mouth on the "N" sound. This is something I have noticed for a long time ...since her 9 year old My Funny Valenti(m)e. It seems to be a technique she uses on purpose to maybe add more 'punch' to the word. I've never heard anyone else point it out, which (when I think about it) is pretty surprising considering the amount I have read, written, watched, and discussed about Angelina over the past several years.

When I first found and binge watched AJ, I thought it very endearing that some of her enunciations were seemingly out, and attributed this to a young artist performing in an alternate language and mispronouncing words. Like you Rusty, I have over the years come to believe that many of these may actually be points of emphasis very strategically placed. The latest of these being in House of the Rising Son, where she sings “sue” rather than “sew”. For me this was certainly a great point of both emphasis and mystery like all of the others. I also enjoy watching Daniel react, he seems very perceptive and appreciative of Angelina’s talents, many of which he is still yet to see.

Well done Daniel I really appreciated your reaction. EspeciaLly how you tied in the conversation piece you had with your friend about getting out of the way of the song. I Totally Agree with and your friend..really words of wisdom. A Song is most powerful when True Talent Is letting the Song Sing through them, rather than the artist singing the song. Quite a Profound comment. Thank You for sharing that gem. ANGELINA JORDAN IS TRUE TALENT. She Always does this. Allows the songs as she lets the songs sing thru her. Transports me Every single time..I have been listening to AJ for 2years and I never get tired of viewing others reacting to her and Everytime I listen, even to the same song over and over again, she took me on another journey, it's like I'm listening to her for the very first time. There is no other Artist that I know that does what she does. SHE IS A LEGEND AND AN INSPIRATION FOR US ALL. keep up your reactions ....yes food for thought. on point. Your friend was so right about getting out of the way of the song. The fact is though that a song has to be sung, and making it sound as if it is basically singing itself is the true work of an artist. That is also the difference between someone who is very good and a master. Angelina is a master singer. She knows how to give the song its full value and take us with her on that discovery. Thank you for that interesting observation.

I guess the "logical" choice for the next one you should do would be her cover of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" at 13 (on her CoverChannel). Because, you know… very low notes in this one and high belting in that one. It's not one of my personal favorites, for various reasons, but after carefully comparing it to Whitney's original (her original _studio_ version) I had to admit, I think Angelina sang it better. After that, maybe try one of her latest covers: Adele's "Love Is a Game" - the first half of it, anyway - which she posted to TikTok last December (so, 15-almost-16). If you can't react to it there, it has been uploaded to YT by a few different fans. The "logic" of that choice is going from a significantly "produced" home-studio type of cover (not sure where she actually recorded IHN) to a bare-bones "just singing into my phone" TikTok (presumably with only the standard "mic" filter applied to her audio).
