Did you notice that the Beatles were getting younger as the second half of the song went on and eventually they ended up as kids. The Beatle bow at the end when they fade out makes it really hit home that this is the last ever Beatles song!

A non Beatles fan getting emotional over this song, just imagine how the people, like myself, who grew up with the Beatles feel. I teared up with you too. This is about the 40th time watching reactors choke up to this song. I tear up with them each and every time… You got it correct, George Harrison is the other Beatle. Sadly we lost George too, but after he did his guitar parts for this song. Great reaction! It is a fitting tribute by Paul and Ringo to their former bandmates. And yes, they were and still are the greatest band of all time. 2nd place isn’t even in the same stratosphere. If there is such a thing as providence, it has saved this John Lennon demo for the rest of the Beatles to finish. The legacy of the Beatles has and will live on forever. Please dig deeper into their vast catalog. You’ll definitely see what they’re all about.

I was 9-years-old when The Beatles first appeared on The Ed Sullivan show, February 9, 1964 -- their first national exposure in the US. On that date, Ringo & John were 23, Paul, 21, & George, 20 (2 weeks shy of 21) - that's how VERY young they really were!!! I LOVED them immediately, feelings that never waned, & they have been the most prominent & beloved band on the soundtrack of my life ever since. Naturally, I was eagerly awaiting Now And Then, & I heard it on the radio the day it was released. I liked it, & fully appreciated it for what it is. The next day, I watched the video. WOW!!!!! I had goosebumps & tears all at once . . . what a powerful, heartfelt video, accentuating phenomenally poignant lyrics in the context they were used. Just beautifully done. Stunned by how emotional it is. And I absolutely LOVE the song!!! Everyone should watch the video & love it, too!!! Without a doubt, the absolute best music video I've ever seen in all the years of music videos!!!!! A true masterpiece!!! Facts everyone should know -- John Lennon, who wrote this song & is singing lead, was murdered in NYC on Dec 8, 1980, 10 years after The Beatles broke up. He was 40 years old. George Harrison laid down some guitar work to this song in 1995, which is used. Sadly, he died of cancer on Nov 29, 2001, age 58. Ringo Starr (now 83), the drummer, & Paul McCartney (81) playing his iconic Hofner bass, are alive & well & still delighting audiences with their wonderful music!!!!! The history of The Beatles, & how their empire was built, & why they are still so very popular, is a story every music fan should know!! Everyone in every generation should listen to their extensive & incredibly entertaining catalogue & learn their stories, & find out how 4 young lads from Liverpool, England changed the world!!! Then watch this video again & understand how truly stellar it is!!! This short film perfectly explains how this new Beatles song came to be. Very interesting, & very enjoyable!!! kzread.info/dash/bejne/c4R-o7Oog6bdpaQ.htmlo

The Peter Jackson documentary about their final album is what made Now and Then possible. Tito, it’s called Get Back and if you ever decide to do a reaction to the documentary I’ll be watching!

The Beatles’ impact on music is even more amazing when you consider that they broke up after only about 7 years. They never repeated a style when releasing a new album. They pushed their art and each other to do new things, and by the time the band broke up they had left an astonishing legacy. They have all been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not just as members of The Beatles but as individual musicians. Now and Then was written by John not long after he and Paul began trying to repair their broken friendship, so it’s possible that he wrote it to Paul and the others.

Even if you have never heard of The Beatles, it's normal to get emotional while watching this video. It's two old men saying goodbye to their longtime friends-and to Beatles fans at the same time. That bow at the end marks the official end to the international sensation that was The Beatles.

I grew up with the Beatles and I was in high school il when John Lennon was assassinated, which would have been about 2 or 3 years after he made this little living room unfinished song demo with his piano and a kung fu movie playing in the background. And I've seen this well over 40 times now including a ton of reactions and it still gets to me every time. Something I find fascinating about this is that the Beatles and John Lennon in particular were known for always pushing the boundaries with whatever the latest technology was at the time and yet here it is in 2023 and they're effectively doing exactly the same thing, and they're doing it for their final offering.

the voice is real, not AI, the technology was used only to clean the sound from the cassette. In 1995 they couldn't do it, so the song remained unreleased, but now finally they could clean John's voice and they could do a proper mix.

It’s really a shame that you have never spent any time getting to know this band. I swear the Angels of God must have put this band together just for humanity to enjoy their talents. If you want a part of your life to change for the better, you will dive deeper down the rabbit hole of their music for awhile. You will, for sure, gain a bigger audience, because Beatles music is beautiful in so many ways, and there is something for everyone in their songs. Songs that make you feel good, songs of love and peace, songs that help you through breakups and loss, songs that make you laugh out loud, songs that will put you to sleep, songs to sing with your children, songs to make you know you are not alone in this world, and to remind you that Love is All You Need to make life better. The Beatles, none of them, had any formal musical training. All self-taught. And they often taught each other to play. None came from wealthy parents. John, who put the group together, grew up as an unwanted child. Paul and John both lost their mothers in their teens. Ringo’s father left when he was a baby. George’s mom supported the group. They started out just playing covers of songs, but Paul and John had natural creative tendencies and became the most successful songwriting team in the world. George soon learned how to write songs, and so did Ringo. All 4 could sing lead vocals. Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones called them the 4-headed monster because they were each so multi-talented. And it made the band so much more successful than other bands. The Beatles came into our lives in November of 1963 in the UK, and a month later, we heard their music in the U.S. The music was a new sound in rock music and it was infectious. By February 9, just 3 months after JFK was killed and the whole country was in mourning and feeling out of sorts….along came this group who sang lyrics which made each of us feel like they were singing to us on a personal level. I Wanna Hold Your Hand was the first big hit in the U.S., and boy, did we ever need someone to hold our hand back then! They stopped touring in 1965, just two years later, because the concerts had to be held in baseball stadiums because everyone wanted to see them perform. But the screaming and pandemonium was too much for them….they couldn’t hear themselves play and sing on stage. It was called Beatlemania, and it happened in every country they toured in the world! Every song they released, it seemed, became a hit! Paul and John wrote songs once a week in a single 3 hour session and most were big hits. They had 21 Number#1 songs on the Billboard charts. 34 more songs made it to the top 10. And 71 more made it into the Top 40 and in radio rotation. One week in 1964, they held the top 5 spots on the charts either 5 different songs! I heard of then, and now. They STILL outsell every band. They became a studio band and they evolved as a group and experimented with different instruments and sounds to create real art on a vinyl record. In every genre: pop, rock, ballads, rhythm and blues music, music with orchestral accompaniment, lullaby’s, children’s songs, songs of revolution and Civil Rights, sarcastically funny songs, songs with hidden meanings, songs with messages if you played it backwards. They created the first metal music, the first spoken word song, they were the first to create music videos, and the first to set up a worldwide satellite to sing to everyone in the world at the same time. The song was, All You Need is Love! They changed music and every band wanted to be like them, and every band had to compete with them. Which resulted in several decades of some of the best music ever made! This song, Now and Then, is the last song that all 4 Beatles worked on. It took almost 50 years to produce. It is a great swan song…and a tribute to each other…and a tribute from the Beatles to their millions of fans! The end of the music video has the iconic Beatle bow and then they disappear into thin air, from this Earth, as they all will someday. All that’s left is their instruments and microphones on an empty stage….and all of those wonderful recordings they left for future generations. Dive in, brother! You won’t regret it! Start with the early songs and watch them evolve in front of your eyes as you go through their catalog. That’s the best way to do it. By the way, they made films, too!

The image isn't AI either, it's taken from one of the "hello goodbye" videos. They made a couple of versions, one with the Sgt Pepper clothes, and another one with the clothes you see in this video. Young John and George are taken from that. It's all real, the voices, the instruments, and the images.
