Hype 4 has the most upper treble of the three, so if you like that then I would recommend it. Otherwise, DaVinki and Mega5EST are fairly similar with the DaVinki being a bit more laid back. If fit and comfort are high priorities for you, the Mega5EST is the best fitting IEM I’ve ever tried (I also own it)

  • @Cujobob

@@luckyupyoursthe Mega 5 EST have pretty big nozzles, but I don’t know if the others mentioned are better there. The shape of the IEM is quite comfortable, though. The Mega 5 EST are nice. I feel like the bass presence is fun and makes the soundstage wider, but you do notice it’s not as refined on some music because it’s so elevated. The Hype 4 are probably more of a “fun” tuning in some ways, but more fatiguing and there are some QC issues with their products (drivers coming loose) that concern me. Also, their IEMs are often just too big. I do think the Dusk are worth considering, as well.

@@Cujobob Thanks for the answer.. Right now I have the CCA hydro which is surprisingly very technical with strong bass very good stage n separation but it's a little picky on the highs. I try to find a solution with mesh or foam dampers filters but I don't have much experience in the DIY but I cut and put yesterday two small foam pieces (from mattress) in the ear tips and it became more gentle. That s why I search a step up-iem because I like very much this hi end sound.I can t go back to my old low budget DD iems. The thing is I have small ears and I m sensible to tremble.I thought to make a custom Mega5 EST but the cost goes very high if you include the customs..it's over 800 $..and i have the fear that there is the chance to spend that money and have a very minimal benefit.. Probably the Dusk with a little DIY for the upper tremble would be the best solution but I don t know how easy it is and if it will fit in my ears..In the end I will have to risk it I think..🤔Unless there is a new kid in town..I heard that they will make a new Oracle version..their latest version of it wasn't't very successful..A last thing..I think that if KZ manages to make a Hydro to 15% less picky the big boys of our hobby will have a big problem..It's a very capable iem plus it has the switches for the bass..On a daily basis I hear things in songs that I have never heard before..it's that good

I really love these videos with your friends. Interestingly, a bit too much bass or the quality of the bass was a turn off for some of them and seemed to be a significant factor in terms of which IEM they liked better. Overall, the Hype 4 seemed to be the winner.

4:10 Wow! Is the difference really so small between hype 2 and mk3? Paying 4x the price just for more treble air that's not not noticeable unless you specifically look for it. Maybe it was a AMP issue. Should have paired the MK3 with a $3000 DAP to bring out its fullest potential. You should make a dedicated video on DAC/AMPS. Also, some more reviews for the Simgot EM10 came out and... they're very negative. Someone even said the Chopin is better and more resolving at half the price. Really waiting for your discord group so that we can discuss in detail.

I chose the hype 10 over the hype 4 and mk3. I demoed the mk3 like three times before the hype 4/10 was released, I liked it quite a lot but I just hated the est timber so I can't pull the trigger. Waited for the hype 4/10 to come out and tried both, at the time it was trending that there were no difference in the sound between the two, but I had to try it for myself. The mids on the 4 are brighter and more forward, but the 10s bass is way more tactile and punchy, the treble details are way clearer. Then I can't go back to the 4s. 4 had stock but 10 was preorder, I pre-ordered the 10. I use the N30LE so maybe the 10 needs a lot of power for it to shine.

With all my respect J, regular ppl don't speak about things like treble, upper mid-range, soundstage, control, punch and all kinds of this stuff. They are more likely hobbyists equivalent to your average self-proclaimed audiophiles or reviewers. You should have conducted a blind test without telling them the model names as well.
